WHO IS POWER MONKEY?
Power Monkey Fitness is a group of elite athletes turned coaches who have spent years providing movement education to clients, ranging from competitive CrossFit athletes to people who simply want to move better. Programs are written by Olympic Gymnastics team member Dave Durante, Three-time National Champion Weightlifter Mike Cerbus, and Director of Power Monkey Programming, Colin Geraghty.
We believe TECHNIQUE MATTERS. Our goal is to provide the same level of elite programming to the general public in a mobile app that promotes good technique and longevity in movements.

Consistency is key. Sculpt a solid core and master foundational basics spending an average of only 10 minutes a day. Our Core365 program is more than just situps and side bends, we incorporate exercises that not only involve the entire midline; obliques, hip flexors, lower back, glutes, and hamstrings.

I joined power monkey fitness programming for the muscle up learning. To my pleasant surprise the App has so many other gymnastics skill programs. I started the get your first kipping muscle up and about six weeks into training, I achieved my first kipping bar muscle up. I am female, over fifty, and have no gymnastics background. In fact I was never an athlete during my entire life. However I always had a passion to learn gymnastics but did not know how. I strongly recommend this training app. It gives you structure, it is not complicated to follow and it is tailored to your level. I’m so happy and can’t wait to learn all the other gymnastic skills. I will be working on ring muscle up next.

This app and training methodology helped me overcome a 15 YEAR plateau of not being able to do a press to handstand. I followed the program consistently (not even perfectly - if I'm being honest I missed a few days) AND GOT MY FIRST EVER PRESS TO HANDSTAND at my first power monkey camp.Since then, I've returned to doing gymnastics as an adult, learning new skills like a Yurchenko vault and cast to handstand. I'm im even planning to compete in a few months! Love the app, the team, and the methodology. It's been a game changer for my training and mindset, and I'm excited to keep progressing!

I’m not sure why this program hasn’t become more popular during quarantine. I haven’t found a program that provides this level of virtual coaching. The programs are extensive and have helped me successfully learn new skills, build strength and do so in a way that safety addresses weaknesses in my form. This review is for three monkey method programs- the strict ring muscle up, the core365 program and the handstand follow along routine.The strict ring pull-up program - Coming into the program I was able to perform a bar muscle up with a slight kip but wasn’t able to transfer the skill to the rings. I’d done loads of research on the web but most of the info failed to help me build a plan that enables me to achieve my goals. After an 8 week cycle using the Monkey Method app I was finally able to achieve a strict muscle up on the rings (albeit with a slight leg lift at the top which I’m working towards cleaning up). This program is so well thought out and has significantly increased my overall strength. I would highly encourage anyone interested in learning this skill to spend $20 and give this program a tryCore365 - I was hesitant to try this program due to the price, and lack of reviews, but decided to take the risk. I’m very glad that I did. It’s the first program I’ve discovered that enables you to easily integrate core training into your daily life without it becoming repetitive. The fact that each day cycles between either your abs/hip flexors, your obliques, or your posterior chain are part of the reason. The other reason I love this program and have continued using it on day 73 is the range of exercises are so extensive which means you rarely repeat the same exercise during any cycle. Lastly the daily time commitment is typically 7 minutes or less so it’s really easy to incorporate into any lifestyle.Handstand follow along - this program has some great information regarding technique but shouldn’t be compared to the quality of the programs above. If you are starting at ground zero for handstands I would recommend it but if you are already comfortable with this skill I’d hold off
Couldn’t access premium membership

I can’t comment on the quality of the training because I could not access it. I paid for premium access, but the app didn’t allow me to access it. I’d tap “my programs,” then select a program but I’d get nothing but the program description with premium access button at the top. If I tapped the premium access button I’d be taken to a purchase screen which would then tell me I already have premium access. But I could not access the premium content. I tried getting help by tapping the “talk to us” button but it did absolutely nothing. I’m hoping the developers will see this review and give me a refund because I got absolutely nothing for my payment.

Hello! We certainly apologize for the confusion and lack of ability to communicate with us during that process. We recently made a major app update, and it is possible you were in the middle of that transition where things got a little messy.
