Perfect app for Monoprice controller
This app flawlessly controls the Monoprice multizone controller. I have two of the controllers together and this app allows me to control all zones. Unfortunately, it does not allow me to leverage all of the sources of the 2nd controller as the app only allows you to define 6 zones which is why I give 4 stars. If you only have 1 controller, this is definitely a 5 Star app.
Perfect compliment to the Monoprice multizone audio.
This app is a perfect compliment to the Monoprice 6x4 and 6x6 multi-zone home audio system. Being able to control all of the zones without having to go to a controller makes the system exponential more user friendly. Well worth the price!
My only thought/request for a future update would be the ability to group or select more than one zone so that you can change apply a change across multiple zones without having to go to each one individually (specifically changing the source). Otherwise an awesome app!
Really nice work!
This app is very well designed and executed. As a professional iOS developer myself I have pretty high standards for the apps I use and this one is excellent. The experience is not flawless due to the difficulty of communicating with a serial device over the network, but it's about as solid as you could reasonably expect. Well worth the asking price!
One tip: if you don't have an iTach device you can also make do with a Raspberry Pi, a USB to Serial cable, and the ser2net program. That's what I'm running and it works perfectly with this app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
