Very useful
A great video and 3D video player. I hope that they keep on adding in new features, because for now it’s pretty bare bones. It really needs the ability to bookmark and keep playing where you left off. Also subtitles, enter the button to skip forward or backwards 15 seconds, and the ability to synchronize the playback with someone else also watching the same file with moon player would make it the absolute best video player.
Would also be nice if you could go to the file selector without stopping the video which is currently playing, And for 3-D movies if you could choose whether you want the environment to be black or not. That way you could eat while watching, which is currently impossible.
Being able to move the screen around, when watching a 3-D movie, would be great too. This way you could put the movie on the ceiling or anywhere you wish. Currently it’s limited to a certain angle and you cannot change it, which is really a bummer.
As many have pointed out, of course subtitle .srt support is a big missing feature.
A little bug it has is that it sometimes pauses the video randomly, and you have to press play again. I hope they fix this.

It’s getting there…
I’m changing my review because most of the features that I requested in a previous review was fulfilled in the latest update as of this review.
As it is right now, it’s already a better app than all the other VR video players that I have ever tried across all the platforms from the Quest to Steam VR. I would even go as far to say that this is almost THE definitive 3D video viewing app out there.
So to the developer reading this review, here are a few more things to add in later updates:
- Have the ability to continue seeing my hands in the fully immersed view when the UI disappears
- Being able to watch SBS video without going into complete darkness(As in watching a 3D video in a floating window in the real world). If that isn’t possible then at least the ability to adjust the darkness of the surrounding video.
- Added audio for watching content in 180 VR video via the website.
- If possible, support for video quality above 1080p when viewing through a website.
I will definitely change my review once these features have been implemented.
The version 1 .0.17 has a serious bug
It has been a great player, except for the subtitle support and audio track selection feature.
Just found a serious bug after upgraded to version 1.0.17.
While playing some of the video files with Dolby Atmos audio or Dolby digital format, the audio of the dialogue disappears intermittently, which is very annoying.
