A fix for troubles

I also have had this app not update the playlist, and lately it hung on my iPad mini on startup. It still worked fine on my iPhone 11.
I had to delete the app and reload it, but now it again works fine. Btw, I can stream using cell without Wi-Fi on my iPhone.
I use this app a lot, listening to various streams.

No longer works

I’ve used this app for several years to access MPR online but it has become impossible to listen for more than a few minutes. The advertisements that play at the beginning have begun to play in the middle of stories, then begin interrupting themselves: ads playing in the midst of ads. It ends with ads playing every 10 seconds or so and I have to give up. This has happened with the mobile app and with streaming on my desktop computer. I’ve tried contacting the station for help with no luck.
I loved this station for so long but can no longer listen or recommend the app. The information is so important these days but it’s impossible to get it from MPR’s streaming services.

Like listening to, sponsorships??

I’m an MPR member and have addressed this with MPR directly—if you are streaming and move between WiFi networks or are momentarily dropped, you have to listen to one to three “sponsorship” (commercial) spots before you get to listen again. A weather alert that could impact your life might be in mid statement not to mention an important news story and you will be cut off. A great solution would be just to insert sponsorships between stories and programs ... oh wait... that happens too. Anyway, an annoying and potentially dangerous practice. Note this is not about content just about delivery. Still very problematic.
