Murder & Method

Logic mysteries, London 1928

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

A hundred and twenty case files from London, 1928 to 1940. Every case has a solution, and the cards prove it. Ten files are free; the rest awaits the Society's members. The Society receives the files that even the Yard cannot close. You are its newest candidate. Every case begins with a floor plan, a handful of people and their statements. Each row and each column contains exactly one figure. The murderer is whoever was alone in a room with the victim. Every statement is true. Every case has a solution, and the cards prove it. Everything you need to find it is right in front of you. No guessing. No clock. No luck. Just deduction. HOW TO PLAY • Read the statements. Each card reveals something about where a person was standing. • Reconstruct the scene. Place the figures, eliminate what is impossible and keep track of what remains open. • Ask the Inspector. If you get stuck, three levels of hints are available – each a little more explicit, always based on your own board. • Make your accusation. The Society does not ask for suspicion. It asks for proof. THE LONDON CASEBOOK 120 files. London, 1928–1940. A séance in Chelsea. A boxing hall after midnight. The Underground at night. A diamond office in Hatton Garden. An incident high above the rooftops of St Paul’s. Across twelve years, guests, suspects and victims return again and again. Some names disappear. Others return. The casebook can be browsed chronologically or by file series. The cases lead from your first admission file to the Master Files. The difficulty grows not through ever larger boards, but through what matters: the depth of the deduction. THE PRACTICE ROOM Members also gain access to the Society’s practice room. There, earlier crime scenes are reconstructed with new casts and recombined again and again. No one dies. Everyone learns. AN ILLUSTRATED WORLD Painterly character portraits, illustrated crime scenes and furnishings, and a casebook inspired by the London of the late 1920s and 1930s. Murder & Method is fully available in English, German, Italian, Spanish and French. MEMBERSHIP The ten files of the admission examination are free. Those who pass may join the Society. A single purchase unlocks the remaining 110 files of the London Casebook. Introductory price until 31 December 2026. The regular price applies thereafter. No ads. No subscription. No account. No tracking. No energy. No coins. Fully playable offline on iPhone and iPad. Made in Düsseldorf by Lindhavn Studio.
