The other day I was at a wedding showing the app to an artist friend, and I noticed a bug. In the bulk import menu, the keyboard hid all the fields and I couldn't see what I was typing. I've fixed that, and I've also included some new things you've asked for: the ability to add the art movement and the country of the artwork, as well as making "Anonymous" available in the Artists list. One of the things that first users have consistently pointed out is that adding large collections of artworks was tedious. In this update, I have tried to make it a little less tedious with a couple of improvements: you can now edit multiple artworks at once, and add several artworks with certain fields pre-filled. On top of that, you can now add multiple photos to a single artwork. Thank you so much for all the feedback!

This week I've received a lot of wonderful feedback, so a huge thank you to everyone! Many of you pointed out the same friction points, which I've spent the last few days solving for this update. I have introduced an autocomplete feature for artists so you no longer have to type the same name over and over. Additionally, artists are now fully linked to their artworks, making your collection much easier to navigate. Finally, I added a new 'Notes' field so you can save your personal thoughts or reviews for each piece. Thanks again for the support!

One of the comments I've received from people using the app is that it would be great to choose how the artwork gallery is displayed (list view, grid view, etc.). This version adds an option in the menu to change those display settings.

This week I received my first feedback from a user who was neither family nor a friend, and it made me incredibly happy. He suggested new ways to sort artworks and the ability to add the year a piece was created. This update implements the creation year feature, and I've also added the option to change the default sort order for artworks. Keep the feedback coming!

While using the app, I realised I'd also like to keep track of the artists I enjoy, alongside the artworks. This new version includes that. Also, I'd love to know how you're using Musea and whether you have any suggestions or feedback, so I've added an easy way to send me your thoughts. Lastly, I've polished the style of a few screens.

In recent updates I noticed that photos were not being saved correctly, and they would get lost every time there was an update. This new version fixes that issue.

This weekend I've been testing the app more thoroughly by adding photos of paintings from a visit to the ARCO art fair in Madrid. While doing so, I realized there were some natural gestures I tried that didn't work in the app: when viewing the detail of an artwork, it felt intuitive to swipe left or right to move to the next or previous piece. However, when I did it, nothing happened. So I've updated the app so that when you swipe left or right while viewing an artwork's detail, it navigates to the next or previous one. I've also fixed a small bug I had noticed: when you updated the information about an artwork, the changes weren't automatically reflected in the detail view. That's all for today.
