Update: The App is still a mess. Shows me in a location far from from where I actually am. Drivers from far away confirm the booking so you wait thirty minutes for them to arrive.
The App doesn't update the driver's location.
The App doesn't have the simple feature of Home, Office, Frequent Destinations.
BlueBird is trying, but failing miserably, to be like Uber.
The last 2 times I used this App for a pick up in Tanah Abang (a place covered with taxis) the drivers never showed up.

Good for taxis in Indonesia, but needs improvement

This app is a great alternative for booking taxis/cars in Indonesia compared to Uber and Grab for visitors.

GOOD: Can pay by credit card, can provide feedback on drivers, sometimes they run promotions for discounts, can get a fare estimate, can book multiple taxis simultaneously, can jump into any Blue Bird taxi and pay by app using “easyride”, emailed receipts like Uber.

BAD: GPS doesn’t update frequently enough so you can’t always tell if the driver is moving, AND no way to contact driver!!

The big one is the last one: without in-app messaging, visitors who don’t have a local number or only have data can’t contact the driver and the driver can’t call.

There’s only the option to call the driver, but the number provided never works, even from a local Indo friend’s phone.

The Blue Bird service has really deteriorated in the past year. Not only does the app function less than 20% of the time, but the drivers knowledge of landmark locations in Jakarta is very low. The drivers also seem to given no training on how to use map apps to navigate. In the past you didn't need to provide directions to most Blue Bird drivers, now they almost always need directions. As a long time user of Blue Bird I'm very disappointed.
