Description
"MySOS" is an app that connects you and your family with medical care as you face health conditions and illnesses.
By registering your own and your family’s health and medical records, it can facilitate communication with healthcare providers during consultations and sharing information among family members.
You can record vitals such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and weight, as well as daily symptoms and medication records. Additionally, by linking with Mynaportal operated by the Digital Agency, you can easily register information about your medications, health checkup results, and medical expenses.
Recommended for:
• Those managing conditions like diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, or hyperuricemia.
• Individuals who already maintain records such as blood pressure logs or blood sugar diaries.
• People looking to prevent conditions such as heart failure or chronic kidney disease (CKD).
• Anyone who wants to manage their own health.
• Those who wish to share health information with family members.
• Individuals who want to manage the health of family members who don’t own a smartphone.
Features of MySOS:
■ Recording and setting goals for vital signs important for health management and treatment
You can record and manage vitals such as body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, weight, body fat percentage, blood sugar levels, SpO2, and step count. It is also possible to link with OMRON connect and other health care apps pre-installed. The recorded data can be displayed in graph form. Additionally, you can set target values as agreed upon with your primary care physician or occupational health doctor.
■ Recording daily symptoms and actions like medication intake
You can register daily symptoms (such as headaches or vomiting), wake-up and bedtime, and medication intake records. Mood and memos can also be recorded, providing support for accurately conveying your condition and symptoms to your doctor during consultations.
■ Registering medication information and alert functions
You can register medications ranging from over-the-counter drugs to those prescribed by healthcare providers. Reminders can be set to prevent missed doses.
■ Recording through Mynaportal integration
You can record information about your medications, medical expenses, specific health check-up results, and vaccination history through the Mynaportal managed by the Digital Agency.
■ Sharing records with family members
You can share information on vitals like blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and weight, as well as medication and health checkup results among family members. Information for children and elderly who do not own the app can be recorded by proxy through a family account. Family accounts can be easily transferred using QR codes.
■ AED and Medical Facility Search
You can check the locations of AEDs and hospitals on a map.
■ Basic Life Support Guide, Medical Emergency Guide(Adults and Children) and First Aid Guide
• The Basic Life Support Guide supports you in assessing the situation and performing basic life support (BLS) until the ambulance arrives when you find someone experiencing a medical emergency.
• Medical Emergency Guide(Adults and Children) assists parents of young children in determining how to respond to sudden illnesses during holidays or nighttime. It provides guidance on how to deal with different symptoms and when to seek emergency medical care.
• The First Aid Guide provides instructions on initial care in cases of fractures, bleeding, convulsions, heatstroke, and more. It also offers tips on accident prevention. (Japanese Red Cross Society provided)

Ratings and Reviews
Unusable terrible app that doesn’t help travelers
The app is supposed to help travelers to fast track.
Instead the terrible, unintuitive UI makes everything harder. Wording is not consistent and misleading, colors do not help see what’s important vs. what’s optional. Passport submission rejected, entry of data is redirecting to the web page. Designed by the committee as many gov apps are. No help for actual users, just an ancient paper procedure put in digital form. The management of this app should consider let younger people lead the design, because it’s clear that old-school bureaucrats out of touch with modern reality has caused this disaster of an app. Really wish respectful Mr Taro Kono succeeds in bringing gov to the digital era and script unusable old processes. Maybe all these app reviews will convince the system management? Here’s hoping.
Terrible and super buggy
I can’t always hear the calls for some reason, and whenever I answer they can’t hear me. Whenever this happens, I don’t even have the option to recall or anything which makes it even worse. There’s been countless times I’ve answered and the person isn’t able to hear me, which makes it just seem like I’m ignoring the call. Furthermore, I’ve recently been getting called at 9:00 AM. I’m sleeping and it’s terrible when I have to turn my camera on and answer the questions (that they can find the answers to on the sheets I filled out at the airport) right when I wake up. It’s such a terrible start to the day and you can’t always sleep in.
App coming from 2010
I had to use this app to preregister for fast track program. The app’s UI is terrible and very confusing. Colors, prompts, text highlighting, every part of the UI is time travelled from 2010.
I ended up googling a manual online how to use this app. Seriously the UI and navigation system is so bad that you need a manual. Don’t provide us a manual, just improve the UI!
The funny thing is the manual says delete the app and reinstall if you screw up some of the options in the set up screen.
The app is terribly integrated that you have to go back and forth between the app and safari to finish the preregistration.
After filling in the questionnaires it does not automatically reopen the app and you might lose what you just entered so you need to manually open the app to properly navigate the data!
No one will be excited to travel to Japan after having awful experience with this app as it could be representation of what you encounter in Japan.
