As a well-mannered, straight guy focusing on becoming a better version of myself (someone I'd consider "normal," whatever that means), dating apps aren't ever what you want. What you want is a relationship.Buuuuut... this one is pretty good! I've gotten more matches here than on Hinge and Bumble, which is super surprising. The only issue is that I wish more girls in my hometown had nectar. It seems to be a very L.A.-dominated app. But I've found the girls kinder, even if we know we won't match. It's not as draining as other apps because I genuinely believe they aren't designing this app to make money. So that's pretty darn cool.I also reeeeeally miss the weekly loveprint advice from before it was a dating app. Those made me focus on making better moves to become a better me. And I hope they bring them back. Even if you have no new matches, it'd be nice to get a lil weekly motivation, you know?TLDR: Hinge is "made to be deleted," but not really. It's made for you to buy the premium stuff. Nectar is made to help you genuinely connect with someone you'll like through the personality-based loveprint. And that's pretty cool. :)

This app really doesn’t do anything good, sorry to say. It’s got a 7 swipe a day limit and goes off the weird 24hr timeframe bumble does. The pooling size for locals was incredibly small (atleast for me and I live next to a college town), but I can forgive that since the app is newer and may not have caught on yet. The problem is the bots and scammers. AFAIK there’s no verification process so it’s a losing gamble on if it’s a real person or not you’re talking to. I matched 2 girls, one seemed alright but wanted me to use some third party messaging app I never heard of and when I convinced her to use WhatsApp, it says “she” was located in Nigeria and not the neighboring town like on her profile. The second like messaged me but instantly I could tell from the spelling and opening sentence that they were not the girl in the picture, so I deleted the app. In an already bad time to be a dating app, this one does nothing unique or interesting to separate itself.

I really do love this app and its concept. I’ve had it since before it was a dating app and used to compared my compatibility to my friends, it was very accurate so I trust it. The only downside is there isn’t enough people on it. Download it so we can have more options!!

There was no need to make this a dating app, or if you did you should have kept the quizzes! That was the whole reason I downloaded the app and was waiting very impatiently for every new quiz update. They should either be separate apps or at least still keep the personality quizzes. They were so interesting and fun for me and my friends to do and compare and see how compatible we were with each other after each new quiz. Please bring back the quizzes. I was dying to see the money one and there were two other new ones coming out I was dying to take. 5 stars for the quiz app it was last year. 2 stars as a dating app.
