Undeveloped but goo game

I used to play Neopets alot as a kid and recently I felt nostalgic enough to get back into it. When I saw this game, I was really excited to have some 3D characters come to life. After playing it for a little while, I’ve come to like the set up, story line and the mini games, however it is difficult to rely on floating debris alone for resources that are imperative to move forward with the quest. I’ve gone as far as Level 2 and I’ve noticed that everyone is dealing with similar issues. Without the main quests, there’s no way to level up further then level 2. I was very disappointed to have no more further story line behind this. For every mini game they we complete, the points earned after words could go towards leveling up instead of relying on the main quest alone. Or for every side quest on the board we complete, that too could be used to further level up. I am aware that the company is making another mobile game, which I am excited about. However if they are unable to complete this game that has been in development for 7 years, I can only expect the same or similar issues with the new one coming out. This game has really great potential, but I sadly lose the motivation to play it without further content to the story line of tales of Dacardia and without leveling up in the game. I hope my feedback as well as many others is enough to give this game a little more attention from the developing team. If there is a way for fans to help fund the game for further progress, I would be more then happy to donate it. It would be nice to see a 3D Eyrie in the game.

Not there yet* BUT. The updates are coming slowly but surely. I can easily make just about 100k nps a day by syncing up my main account. I also get exclusive in game prizes that I can use on the Neopets website. The recent update has a wheel you can spin every 3 hours where you have a chance of winning even more rare items. It’s nice. The designs are awesome as well. You can paint your pets in the app an exclusive Darcadia color which is really pretty. The one thing that’s driving me nuts is how the hats and clothing on the pets make them walk weird in game… like it’s throwing off the balance or they hold the hats in their mouths while in a walk cycle. The kougra is especially silly in this. Another thing is that specific items aren’t layerable. So there are floor tiles, but you can’t layer them under other items or tables or houses. The mechanisms are choppy… I really would love a township type of feel one day for customization. For arches and the likes, it would be fun if we could connect them to bushes, fences, or other arches to have a fun seamless look. I’m ready for my island to unlock more parts, I’m running out of room to put stuff lol. Also, I’ve only bought one thing from the game…. Maybe two. But that was for the add ons of the kacheek neopet. It’s cute. But I’m patiently waiting for more updates and to be able to enjoy those ground tiles a little more lol

This is possibly the least engaging and least finished game I have ever played. Some people, myself included, have had our games glitch in a way that the devs apparently don’t know how to fix and which make the game impossible to play as intended. I’ve contacted support multiple times and on one (edit: multiple!) occasion been told that it was fixed when it very much was not. The only way this “game” is worth the space on your device is if you already play neopets, and even then you might find it frustrating, though not at all difficultEdit: I see the TNT response asking me to contact support, but as stated, I have contacted them multiple times. At this point, they know and either don’t care or don’t know how to fix it.Edit 2: it’s been a month and a half since this review. Still not fixed. Two weeks since I asked support for an update. Ghosted. Garbage app.Edit: four months and counting since the game broke for me, no fix or response.Edit: Feb 2025, almost 6 months and not only is the game still broken for me, they’ve added impossible tasks for everyone! Yay incompetence!Edit: September 2025, over a year since the first ticket! No progress whatsoever despite multiple incorrect claims by support that the issue was fixed.Edit: January 2025 and my game is no longer glitched! Rating updated because they did fix it, even if it took a year and a half.

I was having a lot of issues with getting the resources that I needed to progress. The main quests require you to make a bunch of decoration. Some items can be mined or farmed in just a few minutes. Others you have to collect debris for. You will maybe get two spots of debris to collect every 24 hours. I checked the reviews and see that people have complained about this for a year. That's insane. Just add a way to farm all the resources if you can't get the spawns correct. Or even buy them. I need 12 wood for my next quest and I only have one after playing for a few days and checking the app frequently. It's ridiculous. I also have a glitch where the event calendar pops up after every single screen change. Sometimes you can't even click on what you need to either. It's just a horrible mess. The mini games, like others said, aren't interactive and are just clicking/swiping. The customization is forced, with limited resources, so you don't even have enough to make what you want. I love neopets and have played a lot of games similar to this, but this has to be the worse one.
