NEPP is an experimental way to view our planet’s shared “now.” Earth Date represents Earth’s position in its annual orbit as one continuous number. The year begins at the March equinox, with the September equinox near the midpoint. Solar Phase represents the Sun’s daily cycle at your location as a value from 0 to 1. A value of 0.5 is local solar noon. Unlike conventional time zones, Solar Phase describes the relationship between your location and the Sun. NEPP receives Earth Date and Solar Phase data from the public NEPP server. When you enable location access, your coordinates are used only on your device to calculate local Solar Phase. They are not sent to the NEPP server. Features: • Live Earth Date display • Local Solar Phase and visual progress indicator • Optional current-location or manually selected longitude • Detailed synchronization and source information • English and Japanese interface NEPP is an experimental project and is not a civil-time source. Do not use it for navigation, financial transactions, safety-critical synchronization, or any purpose requiring guaranteed accuracy.
