I used to love this app but now I hate it. I used to be able to pick a state and go to a radar site of my choosing. Now it’s some ugly radar on a satellite map and I can’t even figure out how to put the radar in motion. PLEASE change it back. If I could give it no stars I would. Here is my previous review just so you know I’m not a malcontent: I'm a meteorologist and think this is a fantastic app! I use it daily, usually as soon as I get up in the morning. It's a great app that can be used to "nowcast" or get a sense of what's happening out there right now. Ultimately this helps me begin putting together my forecast for the day. If you're a casual fan of mother nature or even someone who makes a living at it this is a great addition & well worth the money.

I downloaded this mainly for the ability to receive alerts when severe weather pops up in my area. For a couple years, it worked just fine. Radar image quality isn’t great, but the alerts were reliable. Today a tornado warning was issued in my area. Not a peep from the app. I had to launch the app and then click on my County to read the warning. The warning expired at 7:45 PM... it’s 9:59 PM and the tornado warning is still showing in the app. There’s a new Severe Thunderstorm warning that’s been issued for my area which this app didn’t notify me about and doesn’t even show in the app. I can no longer rely on this app to alert me to dangerous weather.

I have used this app on both an iPhone and an iPad for years, specifically for the audible notifications for severe weather alerts. Over the last few months, these notifications have stopped working - no badge, no banner, no sound. Emails to the developer have not been answered. If it weren’t for a second weather app I also have, I would not know about things like the current tornado and flash flood alerts in my area.
New: Synthesized Weather Stations
Now you can hear a spoken weather forecast for way more places, even areas without a traditional NOAA radio station nearby. Just tap a station on the map to start listening, and it'll keep playing on a loop.
Better Radar
Radar now remembers where you left off, jumps straight to "now" with one tap, and animates more smoothly. Storm reports and map colors now line up correctly too.
Smoother Map
The map screen feels snappier and remembers how you left it (open panels, layers, etc.) the next time you open the app. We also cleaned up crowding around the map controls.
Fewer Purchase Headaches
Fixed several annoying bugs with restoring past purchases — no more stuck buttons or confusing pop-ups. Also added a new Premium bundle option.
More Reliable Alerts
Notifications now work correctly for everyone, and you won't get spammed with repeat pop-ups during a network outage.
