Nonalys is a Sudoku you can always finish by thinking. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and that solution is reachable by logic alone — there is never a point where you have to guess. The difficulty label is not a mood: it names the hardest technique the puzzle actually requires.
FIVE LEVELS, EACH ONE A PROMISE
- Easy: up to hidden singles.
- Medium: up to locked candidates and pairs.
- Hard: up to naked and hidden triples.
- Expert: up to the X-Wing.
- Master: up to colouring and the wings.
HINTS THAT EXPLAIN INSTEAD OF SOLVING
A hint arrives in four steps, and you stop wherever you have had enough: where to look, which technique applies, which cells form the pattern, and only then the move itself. Every step is written out in words — "in box 4, 7 fits in only one cell" — so a hint leaves you able to find the next one yourself.
A LEARN TAB, NOT A PAYWALL
Eighteen techniques, from the naked single to simple colouring, each with a written explanation of how to spot it and a worked example on a real grid that highlights the pattern and what it rules out. They are grouped by the difficulty that first needs them.
A BOARD THAT DOES NOT FIGHT YOU
- Pencil marks: fill them automatically or by hand, clean them up on entry, long-press a digit to write it as a mark.
- Cell-first or digit-first entry, whichever way your hands work.
- Undo and redo, erase, and a pause that hides the board and stops the clock.
- Optional highlighting of the row, column and box, of the same digit, and of conflicts.
- Optional mistake checking — off, on entry, or only when you ask.
- Remaining counts per digit, an optional timer, and an option to keep the screen on while you solve.
- Your game is saved as you go, so you can leave mid-puzzle and come back to it.
STATISTICS THAT STAY ON YOUR DEVICE
Per level: games played and completed, completion rate, best and average time, current and best streak, hints used and mistakes made. Plus overall totals and a daily streak. Clear it all whenever you want.
