Notepad Pro is really the minimalist text editor I have been looking for. There are no extra fancy features, nor a bunch of dazzling menus. You can just open it and start writing. It is especially suitable for people like me who just want to focus on writing content. It supports .txt, .csv, and .xml files, and can open multiple tabs at the same time, which greatly improves efficiency. You can start editing by dragging the file in, which is easy and fast. And there is also an automatic save function, so you don’t have to worry about losing things if you suddenly turn it off. The interface is also very refreshing, with a transparent background and multiple color themes to choose from, which is not tiring to look at. I especially like its function of automatically removing formatting when pasting, and I no longer have to manually clean up garbled characters. Overall, it is a "clean, direct, and easy-to-use" tool app, recommended to all those who pursue efficiency.

Mac version is not nearly as good as the Windows version

I have loved the Windows version of Notepad++ for many years, and have always been 5 stars thrilled with it, so I was very inclined to put it on my new MacBook. Unfortunately, there is a super wide gap is what the Mac version offers, which is quite disappointing. I regret spending the $20 for the license.
