The app for those who are serious about learning and practicing sight reading!
This app is designed to mimic the look and style of real sheet music. This is important when you transition between this app and your music as it will be a natural transition. Another important feature of this app is to read from left to right while having multiple notes on the staff at the same time as it would be with real music. This app does that in the most efficient way possible for the limited screen.
- Simple interface that will allow you to naturally transition from app to sheet music
- Very customizable practice options
- Progressive lessons for treble, bass and the grand staff
- Real piano sounds
- Optional visual aids with hints when you are stuck and note values on the keys
Don't use flashcards to learn to read music when you can learn it the right way.
There are many features planned. Please contact us with any feedback you may have.
Have fun with your practice by playing the occasional song. There are only a few to start but more will be added shortly.
Ratings and Reviews
Thank you for educational app.
This app and the ease of use has introduced a whole new world to me.
I never thought I would understand how to play a piano.. My life has been filled with homelessness and bad fortune, so I learned a long time ago that music had a medicinal effect on me.. A personal escape of sorts... I always wanted to understand how to make beautiful sounds with a piano, but I don’t learn so well.. This app made it easy for me to understand the keyboard layout and knowing what each note is from each key.. It seems like this app will help me learn how to write songs and that will make life so happy for me.
I’m not trying to be sad here.. I just wanted to explain how much this app can help someone like me. I can’t afford the full version but this version, I appreciate none the less.
“Music may have to save the world someday”.
I rarely write reviews, but this app is so beyond amazing I’ll try my best to share my thoughts. First of all, everything is absolutely FREE, NO premium that you have to buy to basically unlock everything, I feel the developers of this app were truly trying to help instead of take all of your money. Secondly, I’ve had this app for one day and I’ve already learned more than I did searching for weeks for a good app that’s free. I’ve started to be able to play simple songs on my keyboard, like Jingle Bells, completely looking at the sheet music. I almost gave up on trying to learn how to read sheet music, but this has given me a great start. Sorry for bad grammar.
Made it a habit
This may be too much information, but we all do it: use our phones while sitting on the toilet. I made a rule for myself: I need to sightread one session of notes every time I do a longer session on the pot. Results? Slowly but surely I am getting better, and the improvement is inevitable!
Feature requests: (1) I’d love to be able to chart my progress over time. (2) Metronome; I think this assists the brain with staying engaged rather than mind-wandering while reading notes. (3) Option to mark misread notes as wrong, while still allowing the user to still proceed, as would be the case with a real piano.
Thanks for a super cool app!
