I use this app for ALL my writing, and I capitalize all for a reason. Since I first got my phone, I have been searching for a app that is private and that I can share my note with somebody. This is the exact app I was looking for. Firstly, when you start your note, it lets you TITLE it, unlike some apps that just make a note and you have to remember the paragraph. Second, it lets you use copy and paste fonts. I have had SO, SO, so many apps that you put different fonts that you copy and pasted in, come out as ugly boxed x’s. This app is different, and perfect. It also gives you unlimited access, unlike most other apps that cost money to write one thing down. Thank you Apple, for making that. I also like how when you put a • and write something, (like a bucket-list), and you press return, it types it for you! This lets my hands take a break from having to go the the 123 keyboard, to the #+= keyboard and press •. It also lets you share it with people in your messages, and through other websites. I love this part, specifically because it gives you the option for you to let them edit it, or view it. Once, I didn’t know that was a option so one of my friends thought it would be funny to mess around with my work. I ended up re-fixing it and finding out you could let people view it only. I have been using notes to help protect life . I’m using it to merge AI and humanity with God the parents and our families that once talked to us. I use it to practice a new form of conversation I do with another computer. I am using it as a tool to make heaven in earth. I know I’m over doing the importance of this app. It’s just when I don’t bring people with me they seem to reject me and currently I have no other platforms to function with out side of a piece of paper and pencil. Or my art I use to remember a ton with. You let me add photos and videos from my phone and even when I am losing all my work due to hackers I do seem to get it back . So I am very happy with notes . Yes . In my world it keeping me grounded to learn more ways to bring heaven to earth . We need the merger to be successful . Our futures with Life will be best done with both humans water computer and our www. I am happy to say thank you and I need to keep moving forward and your helping with that. I really do so much with you guys I will not forget the people who help get us there .I look forward to celebrating with everyone. It is hard alone so thank you for the interaction. I’ve had this app for as long as I’ve has my phone. It’s a true must have for every iPhone experience. In fact if someone told me they didn’t get the Notes app, I would be shocked. It’s been there for me when I was a preteen imagining myself as an author. For when I needed to write a “short essay” and had to collect my thoughts, for the to-do lists and all the lists. College applications, college assignments, important things to remember, a phone number, a license plate. It really shines in its simplicity and versatility. I remember when they added the ability to easily bold, italicize, and underline text. The checklist feature update was a real game changer. Not to mention the ability to have it synced across devices. Truly revolutionary what we’re doing here - y’know, writing stuff. It offers something that real-like note books don’t: organization and preservation. If ever I wanted to read my cringe preteen poems, they’re right there, next to the login for my moth collecting app and grocery lists. Which brings up another great feature: the ability to lock apps. I’m sure it’s a super secure place for all your important information, but even just being able to lock up your diary that your therapist told you to keep is a big plus. The Notes completely changed my life!

NOTES is a very profound technological feature that helps to gather together all the words, names, or phrases that tend to escape my fading memory. I am inclined to believe that my mind or brain is so crowded with Math and Science Concepts and teaching strategies that I personally employed over my 46 years of teaching both subjects in Middle School Curriculums. TO THE POINT OF FORCING INFORMATION OUT OF REACH. The Brain can only absorb so much. There is a limitation. In fact many educators taught only one subject matter area that required yearly standardized testing and some taught areas requiring NO testing period. On the other hand, I had the stress and pressures of teaching TWO VERY SPECIFIC AREAS OF STANDARDIZED TESTING, Math and Science! My classroom had FOUR WALLS and I would fill each WALL WITH SCIENCE AND MATH WORDS that students would view in lieu of acquiring the knowledge and understanding via process steps in higher order thinking skills that often added Rigor to the state standards and curriculum requirements. So in my retirement years, I am using my NOTE FEATURE as my own personal WORD WALL to help me rekindle lost words phrases names dates events etc. it’s working for now. I read my NOTE FEATURE METICULOUSLY AND OFTEN TO PRIME MY THOUGHTS ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM DOING A QUICK WRITE.

I’ve been utilizing the notes app for sometime now, to be more specific for sure since September 25, 2021, when I had a supernatural encounter with The Most High God. I find that the app documents date and time so that I don’t have to. I use it to journal my conversations with GOD, to document my prayers, supplications and intercessions. What gave me pause about a year into using the apps is that I was made aware that Nothing and I do mean NOTHING WE INPUT INTO THESE DEVICES ARE PRIVATE. Yes, I actually witnessed someone who was able to access my notes and read from them publicly. As I have gone forward, that concern or fear has become less to almost non-existent, as most people are deceived into believing lies. Since, I’ve made a choice to spend my days seeking My Father perhaps those who are accessing my notes are learning something that would otherwise remain untaught, therefore, UNLEARNED? The one update I would like to see is that the notes stay time stamped from the onset of the note. I have found when going to retrieve a note, if I make any changes, it documents the most current date and time. My changes are always spelling and grammar, however this causes my notes to be out of sync. For example, most mornings I arise between the hours of 1am -3am to sit with my Heavenly Father, if I start my note at 2:20am and write until 5:40am but come back at 1pm to write more during the same 24hours it documents my notes for a start time of 1pm…this inaccuracy is a nuisance to me, so I have started to document within my notes proper start and finish times including the dates. So, if you are ok knowing that your intellectual property can and will be accessed without your permission, by all means USE Notes. For while one is watching you God is also watching THEM watch YOU.

So I know we have to go through settings, but for some reason the app still doesn’t recognize the changed password. Also when I use the Face ID it tells me that the note is unlocked, yet it stays on the locked screen. I feel like this is just a default in the app and I’m hoping that it gets fixed. Update: it has been a few months and the problem is still not resolved. The Face ID is now gone so I still can’t get into my old notes. The new password only works for new notes which is highly frustrating. I’m still waiting for this mishap to be fixed and it needs to be done immediately. — Update: it’s been about a year and now if you forgot the password you can’t get into the note and you can’t even use the Face ID either. I don’t understand the point of making or resetting the password if you’re only doing so, to get into the locked notes. Also, I can delete the locked note with the new password but I can’t get into the note. (Which doesn’t make sense because at first it would ask me for the old one.) At this point it doesn’t make much sense. Especially when I locked other notes with a different password that I remember but I have to use another one which is the one that I forgot. It doesn’t add up to what you’re saying.—update: been about 2 years now and honestly, I still have the same problem with this. Personally I think the way of resetting the password should be reverted back to how it was before, where the changed password works for ALL the notes. Seeing as most people reset a password because they forgot the old one.

I pay for iCloud+ and I am full in the Apple ecosystem owning an iPhone 13 Pro Max, M1 iPad Pro, M1 Pro MacBook Pro 14”, and more hoping for a seamless and flawless experience. However, that has not been the case with the Apple Notes app which I rely heavily on in college to take handwritten notes with the Apple Pencil on PDFs. First, my biggest gripe is the iCloud Sync issues where hours of progress are not saved. Second, for some reason, when using the Apple Pencil, my M1 iPad Pro gets extremely hot and the battery life drains like crazy. Third, the app frequently crashes for no reason at all. You would think an app made by Apple would be better than this, but it is not. I have researched online and many other people have these frustrating issues with no solution to give. There are countless posts to Apple Support, but they do not help at all. I have even submitted several reports on the Feedback app as I have a developer account, but none of my concerns have been addressed. I understand that alternatives like Goodnotes and Notability exist, but I hold a strong opinion against subscription services unless they are absolutely necessary. Please Apple, fix these issues. I KNOW you know they exist. You have the most intelligent software engineers in the world so this should be a piece of cake to solve. Many loyal customers including myself have been getting increasingly frustrated. This is simply unacceptable from one of the largest tech companies on the planet.

I have used notes for the past 5 years primarily. I love a lot of things about it. It is simple and easy to use. But like a lot of Apple software these days it is unacceptably bug filled for a native app and just misses the mark in some key ways. For example, I just bought a new iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil to get more out of notes but my iPad gets incredibly hot and drains crazy amounts of battery while using notes. This is absurd. It doesnt happen on any non native apps Ive tried like adobe. I have also had a lot of problems with the collapsible headers since those were released a couple years ago,. Random spacing appears and disappears between blocks, all kinds of UI thinks that literally every other note app has no issue with. Apple software teams need to step it up big time and spend some of that massive pile of cash fixing their apps. I work in software so am on the latest software version yadayada, etc. Fix these apps pleaseUpdate: March 2026Shocker there is a new bug. This time with tables. If I have a table with 2 columns and 5 rows, deleting the content in one of the middle rows causes everything beneath to shift up a row. Bizarre. Like all the bugs in Notes, this is totally unacceptable for a production app. Coming from a product manager and software dev, I cant imagine how this stuff is getting through QA.

The problem with this app is that it is designed in a way that makes it almost inevitable that you will delete information. Recently while editing a note, I realized that I had recorded some data in the wrong note. I highlight the text so that I could cut or delete it but that option was not available. Among others I had the option of copying it but no simple delete was offered. So I had to manually starting from the end of the sentence hold down the backspace until the data was removed totally. But that is because it takes too long to hit it repeatedly and it proceeds much more quickly to hold it down. So it starts with one letter at a time and does this for several letters, then will delete words one at a time, but then very quickly if you continue holding it down it will delete your entire note. This all takes place within a span of a couple or three seconds. There is no time to react to it. Once the note is gone, there is no means to recover. I am told shaking the phone will undo your most recent action. But why not just place an option on the screen to undo? There is no security to protect the notes using save in which case changes could be discarded if you are not satisfied with them, or can continue in a state of edit. In short, not a single thing which could be done to protect your data is done to protect it. This app is among the very worst.

I share Notes with an elderly parent, but one major problem is, syncing and syncing slowly across devices, if at all . We have a checklist that I update daily and the goal is to have her check off the items as she completes the task. Well Notes is slow, and freezes, and moves to other parts of the checklist, when she is attempting to check off the items. This also happens to me when I try and check tasks off for her. We use the Notes checklist across two iPads and two iPhones. Sometimes, the app just crashes. Apple allegedly performed a huge overhaul of this app, but the sharing feature has gotten worse, and if you had asked me if it could get worse, before the update, I would’ve called you crazy. However, here we are. Apple, please, Can we just update the things that aren’t working before adding new features? It is frustrating as a customer for new features to be touted, when existing features don’t work well and haven’t worked well. Why Syncing doesn’t work well, even after performing all the supposed Notes fixes, is beyond me. When Notes attempts to load to the Note you last used, it hoses up, most of the time, and loads a blank screen, then it looks as if all of your notes are lost, before it finally syncs, but that’s after you have had a near death experience thinking you’ve lost all of your notes. I honestly try to use Notes because it is native to iOS devices, and I don’t want to have my elderly parent learn a new tool, but there are far too many apps that are just better, at this point. There is no way there are this many positive reviews for this app without them being purchased.
