• Fixes a crash introduced in 1.7.0: when NovaScript detected that the mic was delivering nothing and tried to reset itself, the app could quit abruptly instead of offering to retry. • NovaScript now runs with a single OpenAI key, with no Anthropic account. Models whose key is missing are greyed out and say which one they need. • While generating, the banner names the service actually doing the work, Claude or GPT. • Recommended model for new installs is now Claude Sonnet 5. Your current setting is left alone.

• Some dictations came back empty with no message at all: the mic appeared to be recording, the level meter moved, yet nothing was captured. The cause is fixed, and NovaScript now confirms that sound is actually arriving before telling you recording has started, retrying on its own if it is not. • Claude Opus 5 joins the list of generation models. • The cost shown for Claude Sonnet 5 was overstated by 50%. It is corrected, and Sonnet 5 is now cheaper than Sonnet 4.6.

• Long consultations are no longer capped at ~13 minutes: the audio is split automatically and transcribed in parts, invisibly — you get a single document. A consultation can now run up to ~45 minutes. • Splitting happens only on silences, never mid-word; if one part fails, the whole dictation is kept so you can retry it — never a truncated letter. • Your older “too long” recordings kept on disk can finally be re-transcribed via “Retry”.

• The crash banner no longer reappears for an incident from a version you have already updated past: if it shows, it is about the version you are running. • To report a crash, a single choice (Letter, Consultation, Free dictation…) goes with it — nothing to type, and the report becomes usable. • The technical report now shows each incident's date and originating version, so old crashes are no longer mistaken for new ones. • Nothing is ever sent without your action.

• Major fix: dictations longer than about four minutes made the app quit when you stopped recording, and the recording was lost. You can dictate for as long as you need again. • On first launch, NovaScript explains what it needs: your two API keys, where to get them step by step, and why your dictations never pass through any server that isn't yours. • Your API keys are now verified with Anthropic and OpenAI the moment you paste them — no more six-minute dictation lost to a missing character. • A translate button in the Letter pane translates a letter you have already dictated: no need to pick the language before speaking. • After correcting a free dictation, the clipboard now holds your corrected version. • Saying « à la ligne » or « nouveau paragraphe » finally produces a real line break. • If NovaScript crashes, it tells you on the next launch and offers to send the report in one click. Nothing is ever sent without your action.

• Free dictation: you can now choose the AI clean-up model — Claude Haiku 4.5 (fast, recommended) or Claude Sonnet 5 (more thorough). • Microphone reliability: if the mic freezes and captures no sound, the app now resets the audio engine automatically — no need to quit and relaunch. • Fix: two quick presses on the dictation-device button no longer trigger duplicate processing.
