Not really happy with the device or the app, however, I can’t give it that low of a star due to the fact that the app was updated and hopefully restore purchases will be on it. Also, they are working with me on seeing if my current oddball has issues. So, I haven’t been really happy thus far – however the support has been amazing and hopefully in the next few weeks, I will have no issues and can leave a five star review. I do give five stars to the company because they do get back with you and also go into in-depth troubleshooting with you.

I thought the ball could also produce sound, it doesn’t. Hopefully they will figure out a way to do that in the future When you purchase a song, it DOES NOT come with the back track, which I find upsetting The ball isn’t as sensitive as I’d like for more subtle movements and some sounds don’t have enough tone variety. Other than that it’s ok. I feel like $100 plus in-app purchases is kind of a lot for what you get. I wouldn’t consider this an instrument, more of a toy, as it doesn’t produce sound itself.

Intuitive music making

I love the OddBall! It doesn’t take much to get making music. I use it with children of all abilities and they intuitively start making music or playing along with other music. What if they drop it? Perfect! It makes a different sound. There is a wide range of sounds and since you can record your own, the possibilities are endless.

Our musical improv groups uses ODD balls to underscore our scenes, add sound effects, and provide instrumental music while the players improvise their own lyrics. We have created musical juggling and rhythm games as improv warm ups. ODD balls allow non-musicians to play along at a level with professional musicians. ODD balls combine physical activity and rhythms to bring performances alive on stage. Please create a version that lights up.
