Ohms Write is a proofreader for iPhone and iPad. Type or paste any text and it shows every change it would make. Nothing is applied until you tap Copy Corrected. One purchase unlocks it on your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
It does not watch your typing. There is no keyboard extension, no account, and no background monitoring. Proofreading runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad, with no network connection at all.
PROOFREADING THAT RUNS ON YOUR DEVICE
Apple's on-device spelling engine, plus writing rules that catch what spell check misses: their/there, your/you're, its/it's, "could of" to "could have", repeated words, a/an agreement, sentence capitalisation, spacing around punctuation, "alot" to "a lot", "in order to" to "to". Overlapping corrections are resolved before anything is applied, so your text is never scrambled.
EVERY CHANGE, SHOWN BEFORE YOU TAKE IT
A word-level diff underlines additions in green and strikes deletions through in red, next to a list of every issue and the reason for it. Nothing changes behind your back. Paste will not pull in text Ohms Write itself just copied, so you never proofread your own output twice.

- Executive, Concise, Academic and Friendly rewrite your tone. They need Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 or later on a supported iPhone or iPad) or an API key you add yourself. Without either, they cannot run and the app tells you why.
YOUR OWN KEY, ONLY IF YOU WANT ONE
Tone rewrites can use your own key for an AI service you subscribe to. Text is sent only when you run a tone rewrite, straight from your device to that provider, and the first time you use a provider Ohms Write asks before sending anything. Each key sits in the Keychain, and you can pick which model each provider uses.
YOUR WRITING HISTORY STAYS ON THIS DEVICE
Ohms Write sends no analytics or telemetry, needs no account and downloads no model. Your writing history is one file on your device that you can search, delete row by row, or clear entirely.

The empty editor now tells you what to do. Before a tone rewrite goes to a provider for the first time, Ohms Write asks you to confirm and shows the start of the text it would send. iPhone and iPad Settings no longer offer the Mac-only model server option, which could never connect there.
