Olinks is a tiny menu bar utility that decides which browser — and which profile — opens every link you click.
Set Olinks as your default browser, define a handful of rules, and every http/https link is routed instantly to the right place. Your work Google account opens in Chrome's Work profile. Your bank opens in Safari. localhost opens in Firefox Developer Edition. No more copy-pasting URLs between windows.
WHY OLINKS
• Keep work and personal browsing separate without thinking about it.
• Use the browser that's actually best for each site — Safari for battery, Chrome for a specific extension, Firefox for dev tools.
• Open client URLs in the right Chrome profile automatically.
• Send localhost and staging environments to a dedicated dev browser.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Make Olinks your default browser (one click in Settings).
2. Add rules by exact domain, wildcard (*.example.com), URL prefix, or regex.
3. Pick the destination browser and profile for each rule.
4. Click any link, anywhere — Olinks forwards it instantly and gets out of the way.
FEATURES
• Lives in the menu bar, no Dock icon, no noise.
• Auto-detects installed browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Arc, Edge, Brave, Orion and more.
• Detects browser profiles for Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and Firefox.
• Four match types: exact domain, wildcard, URL prefix, regex.
• Built-in URL tester to verify a rule before saving.
• Rule ordering, search, enable/disable, duplicate.
• Native SwiftUI, sandboxed, hardened runtime.
• Requires macOS 14 or later.
PRIVACY
Olinks runs entirely on your Mac. It doesn't track you, doesn't phone home, and doesn't see URLs beyond the one it's about to hand off to a browser. No account, no analytics, no network requests.
Built for people who live in their browser.
