Onda is a private network for the people who make music — producers,
engineers, songwriters, session players, and the professionals who work
alongside them.
Membership is by invitation. If you don't have one yet, you can join the
waitlist from the app.
YOUR PROFILE, BUILT ON YOUR WORK
Your credits do the talking. Onda draws release and recording credits from
MusicBrainz, so your discography is on your profile without you typing it
in. Add the aliases you release under, the skills you get hired for, and a
short video that shows what you actually do.
FIND THE RIGHT PERSON
Filter the community by skill and location. Open a profile and see the work
behind it. Members endorse each other for specific skills, so you can tell
what someone is known for at a glance.
WORK, POSTED AND ANSWERED
Post an opportunity when you need someone on a project. Apply when something
fits. Everything you've posted and everything you've applied to stays in one
place, so nothing gets lost in a thread.
TALK DIRECTLY
Direct and group messaging, so a conversation that starts with a credit can
end with a date on the calendar.
BUILT TO STAY PROFESSIONAL
Invitations keep the room small on purpose. Every member is a real person
with a real profile. Report and block controls are available on profiles,
opportunities, and messages, and uploaded photos and video are screened
before they appear.

Changes
Invite-only enforcement. Google, Apple and phone sign-in no longer create an account for non-members: a beforeUserCreated blocking function rejects creation server-side, the sign-in screens verify the account against the member database, and the app signs out any session that has no profile.
Refused sign-ins say exactly what happened ("We couldn't find {email}…") and offer JOIN THE WAITLIST in place.
Welcome screen states "Onda is invite only" above SIGN IN.
Sign-in verification calls time out after 10 s instead of hanging.
Closed two server-side holes in the web API used by the app (provider reconciliation and profile re-binding).
What to Test
Invite-only enforcement. Please check: signing in with your member account by
email, Google and Apple still works and lands on the feed; signing in with a
Google or Apple account that is NOT a member is refused with a "We couldn't
find …" message and a Join the Waitlist button; the welcome screen shows
"Onda is invite only".
What's New
Sign-in is now limited to invited members, with clearer messages when an
account isn't recognized.
Review notes: add to App Review Information → Notes: "Google and Apple sign-in are rejected for accounts that are not members, by design. Use the email login above."

Image loading overhaul: server-side image pipeline (sharp in uploadImage), immutable versioned variants, expo-image rendering with size-matched variants, prefetching in the feed, WebP bundled textures and badges.
Existing avatars, opportunity images and credit art migrated to the new pipeline (backfill run 2026-09-12).
Network tab loads avatars without per-user lookups.
Image picker downscales before upload.
Hidden Image Diagnostics screen for dev accounts (Settings → About → long-press Version).
What to Test
Image loading overhaul. Please check: profile photos across the app (feed,
network, connections, chat), opportunity card images and detail pages, credit
art, and uploading a new profile photo or opportunity image.
