Great product

Simple but flexible enough for what I need. I love that you can choose to show or hide the time in the menu bar, as well as the option to show the floating display. The only thing I would change would be to have different alarm sounds or alert options. E.g., It would be great if there was a visual alert without sounds. So, maybe the floating display would change color or flash?

Perfect Design, Almost Perfect Functionality & Implementation

Update: This app is a demo and won't work after a little while. It will then cost you $20, which is absurd to say the least.

------

This app looks like it was made by an Industrial Designer and I love that about it. This app deserves a couple of enhancements to take it to utter perfection.

(Context: I use this as a pomodoro timer and tea brewing timer)

1. Being able to change the range of time. 2 hours, for me isn't useful, and because the slider is fixed width, it requires slightly more precision that I'd like to get specific times. Being able to change the time to 1 hour, for example, would benefit usability and flexibility for users.

2. Timer-beep. Beeping 9 times is a little much. It's reminding me of old microwaves. In actuality, I only really need 1 distinct sound and that’s it.

3. End of timer. This is a little tricky, but when the timer goes off, the app opens allowing you to stop the timer. If the sound plays out, the app is still open and the ‘stop’ button is still present. I think if the sound plays out, the app doesn’t need to be open anymore, nor the ‘stop’ button.

If you only have one sound, this removes the necessity for an interaction from the user, thus the app doesn’t need to open or require two inputs: one for stopping timer, and one for hiding/closing the app.

Great at what it does

Neat widget that sits unobtrusively in my taskbar and does what it's supposed to do - time my work blocks. It's easy to program pre-sets for these blocks (10m, 30m, 60m, etc.), and to lower the volume of the alarm so it's not obnoxious. I'm very happy and will continue using it.
