Ooly: Configuration App 4+

I tell every parent I meet to get an Ooly. This device literally changed my life. I was struggling after transitioning my daughter from a crib to a bed. She kept waking up early and coming to get me. I am a solo mom and was really feeling desperate because I wasn’t getting enough sleep. I called a sleep consultant and she told me to check out the Ooly. I am so glad she did. It has helped with everything from transitions to establishing a punctual bedtime but the most important thing is that I am back to getting eight hours of sleep because my little girl happily stays in her room until her Ooly turns green in the morning. I really didn’t think it would work but it worked from the beginning. I got it for her when she was 2 1/2. She took to it right away. As the sleep consultant said, “it’s her currency!” We have had the Ooly almost a year and it has not lost its appeal at all! My daughter cherishes it. Finally, I can’t say enough about the customer service. I have only needed it a couple of times but I found the responses very helpful. This product is extremely well-made, the app is extremely well thought out, and the price is extremely reasonable for the quality and value.

Ooly is one of the best purchases we’ve ever made. When my daughter turned 2.5 and moved out of her crib, I was looking for a colored light to help her tell the time to get up. All the products I found were plastic or hard to program or had buttons she’d be able to play with. I didn’t want to buy the Hatch because of data privacy concerns. The second Ooly arrived, I introduced it to my daughter and she fell in love. Not only does it have a sweet owl face but it feels nice for a small child to hold. Ooly is truly her companion - reads stories with us, goes on trips, comes downstairs to eat breakfast, and lies in bed with her when she’s afraid of the dark. Programming the colors is easy, and it’s been so helpful with bedtime transitions. When we travel and share a room she knows she’s not allowed to wake us up until Ooly is green. I cannot recommend this lovely product enough. It is more expensive compared to other products but it’s worth every penny in its quality and function, and I love that it supports a small family business.

My children love Ooly. My children were 6 and twin 3-year-olds when I discovered I really needed a way to keep them in their bedroom before it was time to wake up. We owned a Tommy Tippee Groclock and it was a pain to operate and never worked well for us. Plus the kids never identified with it. It wasn’t cute and cuddly. I needed something more suited to toddlers/early pre-school age who would love their new bedroom friend. I researched online looking at a lot of different options and thought Ooly would appeal to their hearts to follow this new little friend Ooly. I liked that the Ooly could be unplugged and cuddled by my kids.

A few years later now and we are still using it and my kids still refer to Ooly daily. I say, “look Ooly is red, time for bed!” at night and in the mornings my twins follow the color routine for “stay in room and play” and when they can “leave their room.”
