Just started using
Just started using this app and I’m not sure how these leads are captured so quickly by other agents. I can be physically looking at my phone and see the notification come in and when I attempt to claim it it’s already claimed by someone else.
Updating the status has also been challenging. The app constantly gets stuck. I’ve also skipped a lead but received a call from Opcity as if I claimed it.
The Home Screen on my app always shows me the claimed and expired leads. I would prefer for it to instantly show me the new lead screen as they become available.... having to click off the status of previous leads is frustrating especially when the app freezes so frequently.
Also, it would be very helpful to have more contact info from the leads in the app.
Lastly, I do like when leads aren’t qualified that Opcity does connect them with a lender. It helps the client understand how important pre-approvals are before showings.
Terrible lead generator
As an emerging agent, I was slowly getting leads at first, but they were all rentals. For some reason, I thought Opcity was supposed to filter these out. They don’t, but you can adjust in the user settings. Most of the ‘sales’ leads are low price points and that’s ok, we help folks at all price levels. But they are not qualifying the lead over the phone properly before issuing notifications. For the last week, I have been unable to get push notices. That’s the only way to claim a lead. Don’t even bother with the sms- you will not access it quick enough and it will be claimed by someone else. In fact, even with the push notices you still will not react quick enough. Sent request to ‘support’ which is difficult in and of itself, and the issue is still unresolved.
We have a rather hot market where I’m located. But when I look at my region leaderboard, there isn’t that much sales activity. They claim to be better than Zillow and realtor, but they do not provide any volume of leads and the lead quality is not good. They want to be a disruptor in the industry. Cool- do what you say you are going to do. I deleted the app and I’m not looking back lol. Don’t waste your time.
Notifications leave much to be desired
As with many others, I find it hard to claim a lead. Unless I have my phone in hand with sound on, it is nearly impossible to get leads. If my phone is on silent, I get no warning of a lead (it will not even send a vibrate to alert me that there is a notification). On silent, I get a text message stating there is a new lead. This is only helpful if I am looking at my phone at the time the lead comes through. Considering that realtors are likely to be in and out of meetings where phones need to be silenced, I find it hard to believe that OpCity expects all agents to have sound on in order to get word of a lead. In addition, this app does not sinc with Apple Watch, so if you step away from your phone for a second, you miss the notification. I have missed more leads just by not having my phone in hand at all times. Unrealistic. Leads need to be more qualified before being sent to agents. Getting leads for $10,000 properties in a market where there are zero listings at that price point, who are not pre-qualified at that. It’s a source, but certainly not the greatest one.
