Your statement, opened. Import CSV and OFX files for free, or sync with an optional SimpleFIN Bridge account. No account, no server of ours, and nothing is collected. OpenStatement turns your bank and card activity into a plain, readable monthly statement on your iPhone. It finds your bills and subscriptions, shows where your money went, and files each month away. It's built to keep you in control of your own money: there's no account to create, no OpenStatement server in the middle, and nothing is collected. Your financial data stays on your iPhone. YOUR MONTH IN ONE LOOK • Spent so far, compared with the same point last month. • Next charges: the bills and renewals coming up. • Cash on hand and what you owe on your cards. • A pace chart of this month against last. WHERE IT WENT Every outflow falls into one of four plain groups: Must pay, Subscriptions, Everyday and Everything else, each set against a usual month. Tap a group to see what's in it. EVERY BILL AND SUBSCRIPTION • Repeating charges are spotted on your iPhone and suggested as subscriptions. Confirm with one tap, or swipe one away. • Monthly bills are found too, and shown as paid, due or not seen yet. • Utility bills are compared with a usual month, so you can see when one is more than usual. • Each shows its next charge, yearly cost, the card it goes on and any price change. • Optional reminders before a renewal. PEOPLE AND SHARED BILLS Pay your share of the rent to a housemate through a payment app? A payment of about the same size to the same person, month after month, counts as a shared bill in Must pay. People you pay shows what you sent, what came back and the difference. PLACES YOU GO OFTEN Habits, not subscriptions: places you've been four or more times in three months, how often you go ("mostly Saturdays", "about weekly") and what they add up to. ACTIVITY Every transaction from every account in one feed. Jump to any month, search and filter. SNAPSHOTS AND FORECAST Each closed month is filed like a paper statement, and the last three sit side by side. A forecast shows where this month is heading, with a range and its reasons listed. It's calculated on your iPhone; no AI invents the numbers. TWO WAYS TO GET YOUR TRANSACTIONS • Optional automatic sync with SimpleFIN Bridge, an independent service for US and Canadian institutions. It uses a separate SimpleFIN Bridge account, which OpenStatement doesn't sell and earns nothing from. Paste your setup token into OpenStatement, and your iPhone fetches your own transactions directly from SimpleFIN. • Import statements, free and with no other account: CSV and OFX/QFX files from your bank's website, with presets for many large US banks and a column mapper for any other layout. Duplicates are skipped. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, ads, analytics, tracking or third-party code. • Your statements stay on your iPhone. They're never included in iCloud Backup, and there's no export. • The only network requests go to SimpleFIN, to fetch your own data. The Network log in Settings lists every one. • Your SimpleFIN access is kept in the Keychain, on this device only. • Face ID lock when the app opens, a plain cover in the app switcher, and Discreet mode to hide figures. • Optional sorting with Apple Intelligence suggests categories for merchants nothing else recognises. It runs entirely on your iPhone, you review every suggestion, and your own choices win. Requires an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with it turned on. • Erase Everything removes it all in one step. MAKE IT YOURS Categories and rules, the day your month starts (payday, for example), and four themes. Turn your iPhone sideways to read the month as a printed statement table. A welcome tour, tips and a searchable Help page explain every screen. Not ready to connect anything? Choose "Look around first" when you first open the app. The demo is removed as soon as you connect SimpleFIN or import a statement. OpenStatement shows your own data. It doesn't move money, hold funds or give financial advice.
