FINALLY AN APP DONE ✔️ RIGHT!!!

All those in favor of banishing In App Purchases say “Yeah”!! BUT, when it’s done right, I’m more than happy to pay!!!

Mariano (The Developer) has done an App AMAZINGLY CORRECT!! I’m all for trying out an App free with ads to see if it’s what I want/need for my use(s). I’m also ALL in for supporting a Developer for their App when it’s what I wanted/needed. That to me is the PERFECT use of an In App purchase!

The Packing List App is a HUGE relief in this day and age of complexity! Simple enough for any reading individual, set up perfectly, gives me control of my list rather than having to waste time deleting a pre-made list of items I don’t want on, lets me title, customize and save as many lists as I like... AND if that’s not perfect enough... Combines it with To-Do tab at the bottom for all the tasks associated with going places!! Three cheers for Mariano’s hard work and excellent results! Oh, by the way... this is only about 3rd review I have written in over five years. I am very particular about who I’ll give my kudos to.

Pretty good, but…

I downloaded this to try as a replacement for upacking list, which is no longer being updated. It’s a good, functional app but the one thing that is missing is a way to edit the suggested items list. For instance, being male, I will never need a dress, sports bra or makeup, so these items are not needed. There is no settings page where you can remove these items nor can you consolidate items into one category and remove unnecessary categories. For instance, I don’t need to see sunglasses in 8 different categories (you may like it this way but I don’t), my point is that it would be nice to tailor these categories to your liking.

In fairness, they do provide you with a way to make your own categories and fill them with items that you want but then you have two sets of item categories which is unnecessary and tedious to have to switch back and forth to.

My suggestion to the developers is to keep the suggested items categories and leave them pre-populated with items, (it really is a good list of items), but give us the ability to add, remove, and move items between categories. Then you could do away with the need for the second set of user added categories and have a much more streamlined app.

This is amazing!! Definitely recommend!

I love the Pack app! I bought it in 2021 to help me pack for a girls’ trip with my besties. I’ve used it countless times more for other trips like to go to Disney World, on cruises, road trips to see family, and weekend getaways. You can either have one primary list for every trip and just check off the things you won’t need and go from there, or you can create separate lists for the different kinds of trips you take and who you have going with you, if you need to pack for them. Gone are the days of buying shampoo and conditioner at the resort gift shop (ugh, so expensive) or my son going commando because I forgot to pack his underwear (oops). Then, there are checklists for all the to-do things before the trip. Shave your winter legs (LOL), wax the eyebrows, set up transportation at the destination of flying… Extremely helpful! Pack is the best reminder app of all.

Great app with good support

UPDATE: I wanted to update my review because the developer reached out and help me troubleshoot the issue. I have all of my list back again. Hooray! I tried many other packing list apps, and this one is still the best. I spent countless hours creating packing and to-do lists with this app. Then I lost my phone. Not to worry, I thought—my lists are stored in iCloud, since I paid for the premium version. But when I downloaded and installed the app on my new phone, there is no way to access the iCloud lists. It seems this feature was removed from the app. I emailed the developer and didn’t hear back. Charging for a feature and then removing it with no notice or warning, and then having zero customer support is unethical to say the least. It’s a shame because the app itself is great, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars instead of one.

Hi mrswitters,

Apologies that the app isn't working as expected! You can write me at diego@findappiness.co, and I will try to help you.

Perfect for an adventure traveler

After reading this you’ll probably think I’m a shill for the developer. I’m not. I’m just an adventure traveler who uses this App a lot. My traveling always involves a combination of camping, hiking, biking, fishing, canoe tripping, motorcycle tripping and so on. I’m often planning more than one trip at the same time.

Packing List allows me to create, update and check off from various lists. I appreciate being able to categorize my gear which makes building a new list much easier. I also like the separate To Pack & To Do function of each list.

For years I have used spreadsheets (MS Excel and Apple Numbers) for making lists. This worked fine, but I found them cumbersome to check off. Which is why I searched for an App to serve this function.

Simple, yet Beautiful

It is difficult to find the perfect packing check list, but I believe this app hits the spot. Most apps are too complicated: Setting trips, picking destinations, choosing activities, etc. This app is limited to a Packing Check-List and a To-do list. Perfect!

You can set categories for different lists of items and assign each category an emoji. You can even add some complexity by giving each item a description and an importance. With premium you can even add quantities (which probably should be a free feature).

All in all, this is exactly what I needed for traveling, and if you travel a lot, something like this is essential. The app works really well (it looks like a native app) and is definitely worth the money to support the developers.

Almost Perfect

Purchasing the new Apple 15 Pro Max made a number of my purchased apps not work any longer; especially my list for packing with Triplist. It also allowed the weather app to work with it so I know what type of clothing to bring. They didn’t keep it up but I at least had my dates of my trips and my list of items needed for each trip. Then it made it so that wouldn’t work, and I had to delete it along with all my trips, dates, and where I went along with the weather. I would love this app to follow in its place. I would like to be able to personalize this app a little bit like put in background picture of each trip and add the weather even if it’s in Europe, etc. But I’m happy I found some thing that works so I don’t forget important items.

I love this app

It’s simple to use. When I’m getting ready for a trip I don’t want to be going through alot of non sense to get to where I need to be.

A couple of things I would like to see is a dark mode. Making the categories have the ability to be in different colors. And making it be able to when you cross off on one list it crosses off the same item on another list. Example. I have the regular list. Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom , food, etc. Then I have a list for items that stay in my RV. Example coffee filters. Stuff I don’t need to bring every trip but might need to re-up every now and then. When I check it out in one list it should check off on the other list as well.

Will NOT travel without this app

I purchased the premium version of Pack years ago, and I’ve come to depend on it to keep our family organized when we travel. I created a variety of packing lists, from a weekend getaway to a month in Europe (this clever app makes it easy to copy items from existing lists, no need to start from scratch) and I’m pleased to say we haven’t forgotten to bring things or left anything behind since we started using Pack. We even have a small packing list for our dog. 😁 I’m so grateful to Sr. de Paz Sierra for this simple to use but indispensable app. I wish him many years of success.

Helpful

I’ve been using this to keep track of stuff in our camper. I have 2 sun-headings of each location: one is the stationary provisions (what I have bought or need to buy for that “room”), and the second is the high dollar or perishable items that need to be transported back and forth. I use different icons for each room for at a glance comprehension and feet icon for the transfer stuff. It’s helped me a ton with all the little things you forget otherwise (cleaners that are stored at home to over-winter, Vitamix, tools, staples like sugar, etc)!

Biggest drawback is haven’t figured out how to keep the list synched between hubby’s and my phone.
