Pair the other person's iPhone or iPad as your key device. Support can go both ways: each of you can set your own focus and be the other's key. A MOMENT TO THINK BEFORE YOU SCROLL AGAIN Want access again? Let the other person help. Get up, find each other and ask to have your apps unlocked. They enter your temporary code or scan your QR code on the paired key device and approve your request. That extra step gives you a moment to ask: do I really want to get back on my screen right now? Less screen time becomes a shared commitment, with someone there to support you. MORE TIME FOR WHAT MATTERS An uninterrupted conversation. Dinner with your attention on each other. A book, a walk or a quiet moment. PairPause helps you make space for the things that disappear between one scroll and the next. • Block selected apps, categories and websites on iPhone and iPad. • Let a trusted key device grant 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes of access, or end manual focus. • Set a daily usage limit. • Pair multiple trusted devices, including a new key device while focus is active. • Create and save a personal, single-use recovery code for emergencies if your key device is lost or broken. • Start focus from a widget; use the optional Apple Watch companion through its paired iPhone. • Choose English, Dutch, French, German or Spanish, with light and dark appearance. • Find PairPause tutorials on YouTube directly from Settings. Paired unlocking requires two iPhones/iPads with PairPause. Both apps must be open and locally connected during the request and approval. Compatible iPhones can also measure proximity. A code or QR code alone does not verify physical proximity. Apple Watch works through its paired iPhone. No dedicated key hardware to buy. PairPause is voluntary self-control for adults, using Apple's Screen Time authorization. System permission remains revocable. No account, advertising or analytics SDK; app selection and usage monitoring stay on your device. Less mindless scrolling. More attention for each other. Start together with PairPause.
