Great idea poor execution
The idea of this app is phenomenal. The app itself offers a subpar experience. Why do I still need internet to access offline videos? Why does the sound stop randomly, only to restart the video audio from the beginning even though the video stays at more than half done? Why do the speed controls not work for videos 1/2 the time? So many bugs and errors, I wish my school would switch to something else.
Huge problem to watch a video second time
There is a huge problem that no one seems to do anything about let alone being aware. I am a med student and heavily depend on watching lectures over and over again. And after watching one time with no problem, you cannot continue watching a video from wherever you want once the video falls under the ‘continue watching’ category. System forces you to start over from the beginning sound wise. If you continue you will hear the start of the video even though visually it’s continuing from the last slide. If you fast forward or back to a part where you want to listen then either the sound or the visuals do not match. So overall there is no way around watching a video second time in the mobile app. Please solve this issue. We are planning on petitioning to the Deans office to let panopto go from our lectures.
School decision makers and students be aware!!
Slide and recording does not go together, and once you fast forward it, there's no going back and the whole lecture basically become a waste
You guys need to fix it. The recorded lecture have lecture and ppt separated timelines. When I fast forward it's rather only the lecture move to the time I want to while the ppt remains on it's original time line or vice versa. And once you adjust it, the video and the ppt will never ever aligned again.
I need to fast forward for some lectures, and it has to be a usable feature for recorded lectures. The other things are bearable, but this fault in the system is affecting my studying.
