Paper is a quiet place to write. There is no feed, no audience, and no one to perform for. It is only ever for you. Everything you write stays on your device. Paper has no servers, no accounts, no email sign-up, and no tracking. Nothing you write ever leaves your phone unless you choose to export it yourself. That is why the app asks for nothing and remembers nothing about who you are. Instead of a password, you have a private recovery code — the only way to return to your writing if you switch phones or reinstall. You hold it; we never do. Paper is a quiet companion, not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone trained to help. Write freely. Write privately. It's only ever for you.

Face ID can now lock your jar — optional, off by default. Your key can be copied with a tap. The volume slider works, and remembers where you left it. Tapping a firefly opens your moment again. Music rests when you leave.
