PatchDay
HRT Schedule
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
An iOS app for managing HRT medication schedules. Pairs well with the "patch staggering" technique for transdermal patches. Also supports Pills, Injection-based HRT, and Gel-based HRT. Order the site schedule to match the sites you want to rotate through.
Changed
- Picking a site name now auto-selects its image and scrolls it into view, so you don't have to hunt the image picker.
- Sites that share a name are handled smartly: the picker lists each name once, and choosing it uses the next free slot of that name instead of always the same one.
- Sites tab: tap a site to Edit or Duplicate it; the add row offers Add Existing (reuse a location) or New Location.
- Creating a site now means typing a name (no preset list) — reuse a location via Add Existing instead.
- Sites → Edit → Presets applies a ready-made scheme (the default, or rotations like Abdomen L×3 → R×3); replaces the old Reset.
- Settings: a Tutorial button walks you through sites, hormones, and pills with screenshots.
- Clearer pill schedule names: "First/Last Days of the Month" and "Days On, Days Off" (dropped the literal "X").
- Sites list: consecutive same-named sites collapse to one "Name ×N" row; tap to expand the individual slots. Edit mode still lists them separately for reordering.
Fixed
- Pills disabled on one device no longer keep sending notifications on your other devices.
- Site image picker now shows Dark Mode artwork in Dark Mode (was always showing the light versions).
- Notification badge no longer reads one too high (e.g. "2" for a single due patch). It now uses the live alert count instead of a stale cached value baked in when the patch was changed.
- The Hormones screen now shows a spinner while iCloud is still importing on a fresh/re-synced device, instead of empty patch slots; once sync finishes your patches (or the empty-patch placeholders) appear.
Added
- Home Screen widget now shows where to apply your next patch (the suggested site) and flags overdue patches and pills with "Past due!", and renders correctly on iOS 17 (it had gone blank). Add it from the Home Screen widget gallery → PatchDay.
- Follow-up reminders: if you miss the expiration notification, PatchDay nudges you again a couple of times while the dose is overdue.
- Settings → Appearance → Theme: choose Light, Dark, or OS (which shows the current system setting and follows it).
- Settings → iCloud → "Re-download from iCloud": recover a device stuck showing old or out-of-sync data by replacing its data with your iCloud copy on next launch.
- Hormones tab: when more than one patch is due, a "Change all" action (top-left button and in a patch's menu) changes them all to their next sites at once.
- Siri support: ask "what are my current patches?", "what's my next patch?" / "what's my next pill due?", or say "I'm changing my left abdomen patch / my next patch / all my patches now". Siri asks you to confirm before any change.
