READ AS USUAL Start by reading the article or PDF at your own pace. PatchRead is built around reading for yourself. It does not begin by replacing the article with a summary or giving you all the answers first. POST-READ PATCHES As you read, PatchRead looks for important context that can help you understand the text more deeply. That can include: • Definitions • Reasons and evidence • Conditions and exceptions • Mechanisms • Comparisons • Consequences These appear as questions, so you can choose what you want to explore. FILL IN WHAT YOU MISSED Tap a question and AI provides a concise explanation based on the source article. PatchRead is designed to fill gaps in understanding without replacing the original text. You can also tap “View in article” to return to the relevant passage and read it again yourself. READ WEB ARTICLES AND PDFS • Paste an article URL • Send an article from the iOS Share Sheet • Open PatchRead from the Safari extension • Choose a PDF from Files For web articles, post-read patches appear after you reach the end. For PDFs, patches can appear section by section as you read. KEEP YOUR READING • Recent articles • Bookmarks • Search headings and article text • Saved reading progress • Revisit generated patches later FREE / PATCHREAD PLUS The free allowance includes AI support for up to 10 articles. PatchRead Plus provides AI support for up to 300 articles per monthly subscription period. Saving and reading articles are free. Patches you have already generated remain available after you cancel PatchRead Plus. PRIVACY When you use AI features, article text is sent to our server and OpenAI for processing. Apple purchase information and a hash of the article URL are used to manage usage limits. AI-generated results are also stored on the server. See the Privacy Policy for details.
