Pegbox Remote is the iPad companion to Pegbox, the visual sound library for Pro Tools editors on macOS. Your library, as pictures. Every sound in Pegbox is a tile with its own picture rather than a line of text in a list, and Pegbox Remote puts that same board on your iPad — beside the keyboard, on a stand, or in your lap while you cut. Press to hear it. A tile plays the moment you touch it, through your Mac's own output, so what you hear is what will land in the session. Spot without leaving the iPad. Tap SPOT and the sound goes into the open Pro Tools session on your Mac, at the cursor, on the track that sound is bound to. No drag across two screens, no hunting for the right track. The Sampler in your hand. Play the sixteen pads of a Pegbox kit with your fingers — doors, footsteps, props — and record a performance take straight into the session. Find anything. Search the whole library, or the category you are in, and pin what you use most to the Pegboard so it is always one tap away. Nothing to set up. Pegbox Remote finds your Mac on the local network by itself. Allow the iPad once on the Mac and it reconnects on its own after that. REQUIRES PEGBOX FOR macOS Pegbox Remote is a companion app and does nothing on its own. It needs Pegbox running on a Mac on the same network, with a Pegbox licence. Pegbox is sold separately at dbsoundlabs.com, not on the App Store. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising. The iPad talks only to your own Mac, on your own network. Your sounds never leave your machine.
