1. Photo importing from memory cards/SSDs Importing photos on Mac isn't particularly fun - Finder struggles with large volumes of files, and you seem to spend most of your life dealing with network share failures and other problems. So Pellicle now has its own import system designed for speedy, reliable photo copying from memory cards/drives to your library folders. It features sensible defaults around folder creation to make importing large jobs simple and reliable. 2. Automatic network share reconnection If you're using SMB shares on Mac you'll notice they have a tendency to drop out occasionally, and Pellicle will now attempt to auto-reconnect them when they do. This is seamless and enabled by default, but you can choose to disable it in the settings page if needed. 3. Various interface tweaks and improvements

Bugfix for app store sandboxing blocking folder reads

1. New watcher system for NAS setups If you mount your photos over the network from your NAS over SMB or similar, Pellicle has to poll for changes in those folders and this can get very slow with lots of folders. This new version supports running a small docker container on your NAS that propagates file change events from the NAS to Pellicle over a secure websocket connection. This drastically improves file change detection, speeds everything up, and reduces the load on your NAS. Consult the help menu and pages in the app for instructions on how to set this feature up. 2. Support for DxO PhotoLab DOP sidecar files Pellicle was already writing Lightroom-compatible XMP sidecar files for flags and image orientation, but PhotoLab uses its own format. You can now toggle between the two (or write both) and regenerate the files for directories. 3. Faster image loading and JPEG stacking The app now prioritises JPEGs for display, and combines the display of combined RAW/JPEG directories to only show one record. You can press the spacebar in the single image view to toggle between the accompanying JPEG, the embedded JPEG preview, and the parsed RAW file. 4. Multiple external editor support You can now add multiple editors in the settings page and choose between them when opening a file elsewhere, as well as setting one as your default. 5. Search improvements You can now filter by folder. This combines with a couple of useful new keyboard shortcuts (Cmd+Shift+P, Cmd+Shift+X, Cmd+Shift+U) to let you quickly filter by flag status in the current directory. Cmd+Shift+D clears the current search.
