Penloop is a beautiful, minimal, intuitive, and easy-to-use note-taking app that allows you to store many kinds of notes in a single place, such as

You can organize your notes with various collections, such as:
- Calendar (list and grid)

Additionally, Penloop integrates with Apple Calendar for seamless scheduling.
Penloop doesn’t store your data in the server or anywhere else, instead it stores your data as a file (.space) locally on your devices, so you can move all of your notes around such as inside your project folder among other files such as PDF, JEPG, docx, etc. or on the iCloud Drive for syncing between devices with ease.
That means it’s private.
You can have many files, or in other words you can have many spaces for your notes. And to secure your data, Penloop will automatically back up your file in almost every action you do in the app locally.

• Expanded Text Editing Area - Increased the available space for text by reducing the toolbar margins.
• Hide Metadata During Editing - Version and modification info are hidden while editing to provide a cleaner view, and will reappear once editing is complete.

Wonderful App, excited for the future
Seeing this app recommended on other forums and decided to try it out and was not let down. If you are looking for an all-in-one notes, reminders, events app this is really worth checking out.
Beautiful app, inconsisent performance
I love this app. It's beautiful and easy to use, but I have all kinds of problems getting it to save my data to iCloud and to refresh. For some reason, if I open a space I created on my iMac on my Macbook, I can't get the two to sync. Over the last week, I've lost three entries I mad on my Macbook. They just vanished. Too bad. It's such a great app.

Although our testing team didn’t encounter these issues, we are committed to investigating them thoroughly. Our app uses a file-based system, similar to how Word or Excel documents are stored on cloud services like iCloud Drive. This approach offers several advantages, including enhanced privacy and independence.
With a file-based system, your data remains in your control without relying on external servers. This means no one else can access your data, and you retain full ownership and security of your files. Additionally, should the app ever be discontinued, your files will still be accessible and usable as they are stored locally on your devices. This ensures that your important data remains safe and within your control.
However, like with any file-based system, it’s crucial that the file transfer is fully completed across devices before making further changes. If changes are made before syncing is complete, it can lead to issues like data not being saved correctly or entries disappearing.
To help prevent this, our app automatically backs up your data, much like saving previous versions of a document in Word or Excel. These backups allow you to recover earlier versions if needed, and you can export them to restore any lost entries.
We recommend ensuring that the syncing process is complete before making additional changes to avoid these issues in the future. If you encounter any difficulties or need help with exporting previous versions, our support team is here to assist you every step of the way.
