Pet Zero 4+

In all honesty we had a high maintenance cat that we loved and adored but that meant having to have someone at the house twice a day, if not more while we were away for medicine and wet food feedings.
We don’t have our hm girl anymore which is beyond heartbreaking but we still have our Scoots and she loves a dry feeding so with the wi-fi pet feeder, it has allowed us to travel a bit more without the guilt. We set up our Arlo cameras to watch her and set up multiple feedings and sometimes manual feedings. We love it and hope you do too!!

Let me start by saying the feeder itself has been exceptionally reliable. I have owned it for a little over two years and I’ve never had an issue with the feeder. The problem is, which is all too common with Chinese products and Chinese apps, the developer never replies to software issues. the biggest problem is you will be signed out every 30 days from the app which means you will get zero notifications from the device, including low food notifications. Let me say that again, if you do not open this app at least once every 30 days, which there’s very little reason to do because the feeder is exceptionally reliable, you will be logged out and you will not receive notifications. I have submitted this repeatedly but the developer never replies. Every single feedback says “to be processed”. It’s a shame that the developer isn’t interested in feedback or issues like this, all they are interested in is shoving advertisements down your throat. I strongly advise you to find a product that does not use this vendor’s app. How this app has a 4.8 rating in the App Store is beyond me, unless the reviews are… well let’s just say there are plenty of other apps with high ratings that don’t deserve them. This falls into that category.

This is my fourth WiFi feeder and though it works as intended, the app is very clunky and leaves a lot to be desired. I do NOT receive notifications as to whether or not my pet was fed, or is out of food. I think you have to enable location services and I’m not willing to do that as I see no need whatsoever for it to be necessary to operate a pet feeder. I miss my old PetNet unit; although they went out with a fizzle they set a very high bar for quality of both app and feeder IMO.

Additionally, if you get logged out from the app (and I believe updates cause this), when you log back in you will find that no feeding history has been captured during your “absence.” You have no way of knowing if your pet has been getting fed or not, God forbid you are away from home.
