Our History
Petropolis first opened its doors in 1988 thanks to Dr. Paul Schifano and Hannelore Bugby. Dr. Schifano’s goal was to create the nation’s first all-inclusive pet center servicing every pet’s needs “all under one woof.”
Over the years, we’ve evolved with the times and adopted the force-free philosophy that make us the business we are today. When your pet comes to stay with us, they get not only thirty years of experience but also the most cutting edge, research-based methods in the pet care industry.
Our Mission
Enrich. Educate. Empower. That’s been our mission for over thirty years. And while we’ve been around for a long time, we’re anything but old-fashioned. We work to provide enriching experiences for the pets in our care and empower the human-animal bond by educating pet parents in our community.
