PetSafe SMART DOG Trainer 4+

First of all, my wife and I are very happy to use this app. It does work really well for our dog. We do not even use the third option on the color. He responds to the beep or the vibrate feature. We have noticed though, the battery life of the unit is not very long. Yes if you have a use it the battery will die faster. If you don’t use it, the battery will last a lot longer. With inside the actual app itself. I do have one concern. I’ve got an iPhone 11 Pro Max & The battery indicator is being cut off on the screen by the bottom menu. Therefore, we cannot check the battery strength of the color. We basically wait for the collar battery to deplete completely. Then we go through and recharge the battery. If the app could be fixed, that would be great! If the battery indicator could be moved to the top of the screen, I think that would solve everything!

I took training classes at Petco for about 6 to 8 months and it was $400 and I didn’t get the training expectations met my husband bought me this collar for Christmas present to help me train my puppy because I have a four-month-old daughter and we live in Vermont and the weather is uncontrollable so it’s hard to jump up and get your jacket on and hook your dog up and get everything ready to go outside when he has to go to the bathroom so it’s nice to have that collar because I live in apartment complex I can walk right down the steps into the yard and I have to worry about any other dog any other person nothing I use the vibration and noise if he is going towards something dangerous or something that is a complete no then I use the low setting of number seven to correct him and it works perfectly but it is not a toy and it can hurt your dog if you abuse it so do not let children or anyone you do not trust with this caller the owner of the animals is the only one who should have access to the collar no one knows their dog best other than the owner you’ll know if your dog is uncomfortable to the setting or not other than that It’s been amazing having this caller

I have a German Shepherd/Husky mix so he’s extremely active and vocal. Which is fine but my husband and I are expecting our first child and our dog excessively barks for hours at a time. We go down the list of things he may need: food, water, go outside, play with him, take him for a hike/run sit through training sessions. He’s a good dog over all but the constant barking has got to stop before the baby gets here so we turned to this collar. I like the luxury of choosing when it’s okay to bark and when it’s not okay. The first day he already started following rules a little more. We use the tone as a reward and the vibrate as a warning. Very rarely do we need to use the shock setting. Before the collar our dog was cuddly, sweet, funny, with just the downfall of never shutting up. Now he’s all of those things and quiet!! I recommend this item for people who need to train their hard to train pups. With the husky aspect he’s going to be mischievous and vocal but at least we know the baby won’t be woken up randomly!!
