Description

PhoneLog allows you to quickly store details about phone calls you have made - who you called, when you called and what was said on the call.

It's really useful when you ring utility companies, financial institutions or anyone else where you need to keep a quick record of the conversation. There's also full-text searching so you can easily find the call you're looking for.

Record the details straight into the app when you're on the phone and you'll never forget a call again!

No-nonsense and full of useful features

You need to use PhoneLog even if you are forced by your company to use some barely tolerable CRM.

It has a timer for your calls, plus it integrates with contacts, reminders and calendars very well. You can drag and drop a link from PhoneLog to lots of other apps which really adds value to the way I like to work. I like using Agenda for small projects, and PhoneLog is invaluable at storing the details of a call while the link goes right in my other project notes.

I plan my calls ahead of time by creating a new call in PhoneLog. The type-ahead feature in the "Who" field brings up all possible matches from my contacts and then I set the time and the subject of the call. I customized my categories, so I can pick one those and then I just click the "add to calendar" button and it's set. I could have added it to my reminders instead, but I tend to focus more on my calendar. Clicking on the calendar event opens the record in PhoneLog and I'm entering the details whle I'm on the call. Perfect.

Possible improvements for me would be a better rich-text editor with bullet points, but I'm not unhappy with what's there now. I haven't figured out how to have it allow me to pick the phone number from the contact once I've chosen the contact name, but next version maybe.

The developer is involved with the product and responded to one of my questions promptly. That's always a good sign.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the great review and the suggestions for improvements. The contact phone number should be listed to the right of the contact name when you choose the contact on the address book screen. If there are multiple phone numbers for the same contact there are multiple lines. Hope that helps. Please email directly for further help with this.

(To be clear to the reader, this review covers some features that are available in the paid-for version of the app - "PhoneLog Pro" - please check out that app product page for more details.)

Great Phone Call Management! 👍👍👍👍👍

Keeps phone call details where they belong—in your computer, easily searchable—instead of under mounds of paper! 👌

Excellent App for Storing Phone Conversation Details

PhoneLog is an excellent little app. It's great for jotting down notes from phone conversations, storing conversation details, and organizing your call history.

This app has a cleverly designed user interface. Everything within the app is arranged intuitively; making it extremely easy to input data.

I've read a lot of comments saying that PhoneLog needs iPhone support. I believe those people are missing the point of this app. Also, the developer of PhoneLog is very responsive to feedback. So to all the people asking for iPhone support: submit a feature request. If you need customizable database software try Bento or FileMaker; but brace yourself for a hefty price tag and a lot of hours setting up tables and fields.

PhoneLog is a FREE mini-app created for the soul purpose of storing phone call information.

I would and I have recommend this app to all my friends, family, and co-works who make numerous phone calls on a daily basis. This little app is a WINNER and it's only going to get better with each update.
