Grip one, let go on its sweet spot and strike it free into the mine car. Pickbeat is a rhythm game set in a red-rock quarry, printed like a 1930s work-song poster. Every crystal tells you when to let go: a quarter one beat after you grip it, a half two beats, an off crystal on the "and". Land it on the beat for a PERFECT. Strike after strike builds your combo, and the band comes in with it: the bass, then the drums, then the full band. HOW IT PLAYS • Press a crystal to grip it, release on its beat to strike it free • Two walls of crystals, one under each thumb • Every release is judged PERFECT, GOOD, EARLY, LATE or MISS • Keep the combo going to bring in the band ONE SHIFT, FIVE SONGS • Choose your tempo: 60, 75, 90, 100 or 112.5 BPM • Geodes, rubies and a finale join as the shift goes on • Meet each song's quota on your time card to keep going • Pick one of three upgrades after every song: a longer reach, lower quotas, extra amethysts, double pay for perfect streaks and more • Miss a quota and the shift is over. Go again and beat your best haul at every tempo EASY TO LEARN A short tutorial teaches the grip and the release before your first song.
