Data is fetched directly from the NWS, without any intermediate backends or big-brother analytics collection.
Your location is used only to ask the NWS for nearby stations, and isn't tracked.

Very cool tool!
This is great! I love that I can get the AWOS for airports near me. I would give it five starts if: 1) It was available on the iphone and 2) I could pick/enter smaller airports that I want to fly to that have a station. OS9 for example.
I love that this was a a university project written by a pilot! Well done!

I hadn't considered that before, but now I shall.
Whether I am able to spend time on new features depends entirely on app uptake, so please tell all your pilot friends about it. For tiny apps like this it makes a big difference.
