Description

You can control music playback remotely using the Pine Player Remote app. Download the Pine Player Remote app for free from the Apple App Store now.

Pine Player Pro is a digital music player for music lovers using the macOS operating system. Powerful playback function that can play almost all existing digital audio formats, including MP3, FLAC, APE, AAC, M4A, WAV, AIFF, OGG, WMA, DSD, SACD ISO, OPUS, and enjoy CUE files in the most convenient way.

1. Up to 32Bit 768kHz upsampling function
Pine Player Pro supports a variety of PCM formats, allowing playback of 16 to 32-bit sound sources, and supports sampling of up to 768 KHz to reproduce clear and rich sound quality.
Pine Player Pro's unique Over Sampling Filter is a technology that helps you play music at maximum performance by upconverting regular MP3 files into high-quality sound sources of 32bit and up to 768kHz and transmitting them to an audio device (DAC). In fact, if you play a regular MP3 file, you will notice that the sound quality becomes clearer and richer. HD audio files such as MQS and DSD can also be upconverted up to 768kHz.

2. Convenient and powerful playlist and prevention of text corruption
Pine Player has a convenient playlist function, so you can save and manage the songs you want to listen to, change the playback order by dragging, and also have a perfect text decoding function to perfectly display any type of language and text encoding. There is no broken Korean code.

3. Cross Fade and Gapless Settings
Pine Player Pro plays files with dual Audio Tracks by default. So, you can implement the cross fade effect of Daum music and convert and play sound sources of various formats in real time.
However, if you want to play music with the original sound (Bit Perfect) or play music that continues without separate tracks, such as classical music, you must use a single Audio Track.
* Single audio track is still an experimental feature and may affect stability.

4. Equalizer & Bass Control
If you want to use a high-quality equalizer with 12 Bands, you need to set the DAC mode to Equalizer Mode as shown at the top of this article.
If you want to emphasize or eliminate bass, you can use the Dynamic Bass Control function.
It is convenient to first press the + button to enter a name for your settings and save them. After the settings are complete, be sure to click the Save button to save them.

5.Converter
Pine Player Pro provides a built-in function to convert music files. It is possible to convert to various formats and change the file name using metadata.

6. Meta Editor
Pine Player Pro provides the ability to edit album art and meta information for music files. You can also select multiple songs in a playlist and edit meta information in batches.

Pine Player Pro does not include any advertising or marketing requirements. In particular, no information, including personal information, is transmitted externally or to the Internet.

Sandboxing fixed

Now the app functions properly! There were issues with sandboxing but they are now fixed!
I bought the Pro version, but it is a shame that it crippled the free version! Prior to ver 4.0 you had DAC Control mode available, now, not anymore!! It is a Pro feature! It was removed from the free version!

Developer Response ,

It would be nice if everything were free, but there are limits to covering development costs with my own money. Purchasing the paid version will greatly help with ongoing development. thank you

Great App - could use some tweaks to mak it excellent

Navigation
as there is no keyboard navigation, you need to scroll manually to whichever artist/song you want to listen to.

Highlighting
there is no 'press shift/use arrow' function to quickly highlight/select songs one after the other. You have to click on each song individually to highlight/select it. Morever, if by mistake you click somewhere else, the previously highlighted songs become unselected and you have to manually select all the songs again!

Editing
if you're listening to an album which is playing songs one-after-one and you edit a track on another album, the play function defaults to the top of the overall playlist - and you have to scroll down to the album you were listening to! Example - listening to a Madonna album, edited a song from a Nirvana album, the next song starts playing from Abba (top of the overall playlist).

Adding/Deleting
when adding an album while listening to a song, the interface goes to the newly added album - so you have to scroll back to the song you were listening to. When deleting albums/tracks while listening to a song, the interface stays on the deleted section - so you have to scroll back to the song you were listening to. A keyboard navigation would be helpful.

All these take time and is a bit frustrating.

Developer Response ,

The keyboard movement function can be used by clicking the right mouse button or the More menu on any song in the playlist, selecting Sort by song name, and then pressing the alphabet keyboard in the playlist to move immediately.
If you want to move directly to the currently playing song, you can refresh the list and then move immediately after completion.
We will improve the information you mentioned so that you can use it in a more convenient way.
Thank you

EQ and oversampling just MaGicAL✨

Sadly the EQ and oversampling just went from free to $30, but to an audiophile like me, it's worth it, and I am happy to support an indie developer to make such amazing software. As a senior UX professional, I would even donate time to further the apps. Absolutely love Pine Player…wish I could get it on my iOS devices (but wouldn't pay another $30 for it) 👍
