Crashes after last update
This has mostly been really useful, but after the last update it crashes whenever I view holds or checkouts. Is there a way to undo the update?
Developer Response ,
I'm very sorry for the crashes. Please send an email to kenstir.apps@gmail.com if you are still having crashes or want to make suggestions. On MLK weekend a server update caused the app to crash, but that should have been fixed with app version 1.1.0.
Two Major Flaws
I really wish I could give a five for my review. The app is very easy to access. The format is simply and fun to read. And yet, I give a one for two MAJOR flaws. One, if you put books on hold, they may not be on hold. It may not register as a hold for the library, so you will wait forever for a book not to come. Two, the Pine libraries don’t have the equipment to read the barcode on the app. You have to give the phone to the person behind the counter, and he/she has to type it into their computer. Download and tolerate this app if you must, just know that the library system is not current with today’s technology.
Developer Response ,
Hello and I'm sorry for your trouble. Please reach out at kenstir.apps@gmail.com and we will get to the bottom of the hold issue. People place and pickup holds every day using the app and if you can't it's a problem. Second, I am sorry your barcode doesn't scan at your particular branch. Have you considered carrying your library card as a fallback? It works. Seriously, the administrators determined that the vast majority of patrons across the 300 PINES libraries have access to scanners that work with smartphones, so we decided to roll out the feature.
Due Date Alert
I love this app, however, with a recent update I noticed the approaching due date (the date turns red) feature has stopped. I loved that feature to alert me it’s time to renew/return. Please bring that back!!
