Scan receipts and documents in seconds. Pages stay on your phone; text is read by a cloud service and nothing else leaves your device. No account needed. Plainpaper turns your phone into a plain, fast document scanner. Point the camera at a receipt, a letter or an ID card. Plainpaper finds the edges, straightens the page and cleans it up in colour or black and white. Add more pages, reorder them by dragging, and export the whole document as a PDF to save or share. Every document's text is recognised so you can search your library by anything written on a page, not just by title. Group documents into folders, or let receipts file themselves. Your documents stay on your device. To read the text on a page, its image is sent to a text-recognition service over an encrypted connection and deleted once the text comes back. Nothing is uploaded to an account, because there is no account. The app is free and shows a small advertisement. Plainpaper is built for people who want their paperwork scanned, searchable and under their own control.
