Planning Ops
Pour & crew scheduling
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Planning Ops is the operations command center for concrete and construction teams.
Schedule pours on a drag-and-drop board with weather bars and instant double-booking alerts, then staff every job on the Manpower grid that shares the same projects automatically. Track crew certifications with expiry warnings, project labor with the Projection board, and send your whole team a branded weekly digest with next week's pours and assignments. Confirm a pour and the right people get the details by email and SMS automatically.
Built for iPad so foremen and coordinators can run the week from the field, with PDF and Excel exports for the office.
Planning Ops is a seat-based product for organizations; your team is provisioned by your administrator.

Planning Ops is ready for iPhone Duo. Folded, you get the phone layout; unfold and the app opens the full hub, the same as on an iPad, and turns with the screen. Fold or unfold in the middle of a task and you stay where you were: the same section, the same open daily report or T&M ticket. On every iPhone, switching tabs no longer closes the daily report you have open. On iPad: in Manpower, search for a person by name or EE ID and drag them straight onto another superintendent's crew. Updated for iOS 27.

Planning Ops now works for contractors in Australia. Choose Australia as your country and sites take a 4-digit postcode that fills in the state, concrete reads in cubic metres and MPa, weather in °C and km/h, and maps place jobs by postcode, suburb or street with distances in kilometres. Every Australian time zone is available in the workspace settings.

Daily Report and T&M ticket PDFs now print everything that was typed. Long activities, photo captions, names and descriptions are never cut off with "…": rows grow to fit, and a very long entry carries onto the next page. Activities and work descriptions typed as several short lines now read as one paragraph.

Emailing a Daily Report or a T&M ticket is more reliable. If you switch apps or lose signal while it sends, the app keeps the send going, checks whether it went out, and tells you. Tapping Send again never sends a second copy.
1.20 Oct 22
Planning Ops has a new logo: the P with a concrete-drum O. You'll see it on the app icon, the launch screen, sign-in, the top bar and the Face ID screen, and it is the default logo on every PDF and Excel export until you upload your own. Also security updates under the hood.
On iPad: Project Compliance now flags certifications that are Expiring Soon, and a few screens and Field Manual pages now describe the app exactly as it works (the 90-day Lookahead, and who can set Time Off).
1.19 Oct 16
Keeps the app level with the web hub. From now on, when a newer version of Planning Ops is on the App Store, the app asks you to update before continuing — one tap takes you to the store, so every crew is on the same version.
On iPad: in Users & Roles a teammate now stays Invited until they set their password — opening the welcome link no longer flips them to Confirmed — and the Field Manual explains it, along with the Continue step the welcome link now shows so an email scanner can never use a link up. The email topics now say that every subject names your company: Daily Reports, T&M tickets, the emailed Place & Finish and Manpower schedules, and the pour notices — with three refreshed pictures of the email dialogs.
1.18 Oct 11
Email subjects now name your company — “Daily Report #52 — Your Company — Project — Date” — so they stand out in a crowded inbox. The same for T&M tickets and, on iPad, the emailed Place & Finish and Manpower schedules.
Pour confirmation emails now include where on the site, the pump, conveyor and screed operators, 3D paving and saw cutting; cancellation notices include the start time and location.
Daily Report and T&M ticket PDFs up to 15 MB email straight from the app.
1.17 Oct 10
Clearer emails from the app.
• Daily Reports: emailing a report is simpler. Your message starts as one line, and the email adds the project, date, foreman and the day's totals under it — each fact once, with no zero counts.
• Invite and password-reset emails: the link now keeps working until the password is set, so a late or half-finished setup no longer needs a resend.
• Pour cancellation emails have a calmer subject line that still stands out in the inbox.
• Every email was proofread and reads cleanly on a phone.
On iPad:
• Emailing the Place & Finish schedule: the subject and the email's heading now name the dates the schedule covers, and the office.
• Manpower ▸ Export ▸ Distribute: tap a recipient to leave them out of a send. The subject and heading name the week.
1.16 Oct 5
Saw cutting and backup pours.
• Every pour now carries a Saw Cutting choice (Yes / No). It shows on the pour's card and prints on the schedule PDF.
• Mark a pour as a Backup when it only goes if another job slips. It stays on the board drawn dashed with a BACKUP bar, never counts as a double-booking, and becomes a normal pour the moment you confirm it.
• Typing a year into Jump to date no longer leaves the board on "Invalid Date" — the board jumps once the date is complete.
• Project contacts: the Concrete Pump row is gone. Pump, conveyor and screed companies are notified from Conveying & Operators and Screeds, only on pours that use them.
• Admins of a single hub can invite teammates to that hub again.
On iPad:
• The schedule PDF is a calendar — weekdays across, a band per week, and under each day only the pours on it, each with its job, crew, start time, mix design, pump or conveyor, screed, saw cutting and the site forecast. A backup pour prints marked as one.
• Manpower: typing a year into Jump to week no longer leaves the board on "Invalid Date".
1.15 Oct 2
Small fixes that keep the app in step with the web hub.
On iPad: Control Panel ▸ Modules & Features ▸ Cross-Hub Options has a new Timezone setting. Pour start times are read in your crews' zone, so a cancellation's 12-hour text window lands right anywhere. Excel exports — the Master Pour Schedule, the Manpower schedule and the T&M ticket log — show the correct date in every time zone, and certification expiry dates follow your local day.
On iPhone: the new-pour dialog's default date now follows your local day. Schedule, Daily Reports and T&M Tickets otherwise work exactly as before.
Keep the app updated so it always matches what your office sees on the web.
1.14 Sep 20
A housekeeping release that keeps the app in step with the web hub.
On iPad: the Weekly Digest auto-email has been retired. Control Panel ▸ Notifications now holds just the pour notices — Confirmation Email, Cancellation Email and Cancellation Text (SMS). Nothing else in the Control Panel moved.
On iPhone: no visible changes — Schedule, Daily Reports and T&M Tickets work exactly as before.
Keep the app updated so it always matches what your office sees on the web.
1.13 Sep 19
Daily Reports on iPhone: a Daily Reports tab beside Schedule and T&M Tickets. Start the day's report, log the work, crew, equipment, deliveries, delays, safety and photos, then Sign & Submit, export the PDF or email it. History and File an Earlier Day are there too.
T&M tickets spell out Straight Time, Overtime and Double Time instead of ST, OT and DT, on screen and on the PDF.
On iPad:
• Manpower ▸ Schedule ▸ Timeline: each person's schedule as one bar per stretch on a job, with each crew folding into a single line.
• Manpower ▸ Schedule ▸ By Job: the week as one card per job. Drag people between cards by their grip to move them, with Undo.
1.12 Sep 17
T&M Tickets: record extra work on site — T&M, change orders and directed extras — with labor, equipment, materials and photos. The GC signs right on the device, and each ticket is numbered per project, exported as a PDF or emailed.
On iPhone, T&M Tickets get their own tab beside the Schedule.
On iPad:
• Place & Finish ▸ Map: every pour and truck route for the day or week on a real map.
• Manpower ▸ Map: where every crew is working, with office per diem rings.
• T&M Tickets live in Daily Reports, with an Excel log of the tickets on screen.
• A daily report lists and prints the day's tickets.
1.11 Sep 15
Conveying beside the pump: mark how the concrete gets to the forms — conveyor, crane & bucket, buggies or direct chute. Pick all that apply in the pour editor; the board card shows them. A conveyor can carry its own unit and operator, or a subcontractor.
Day mode is easier on the eyes: softer paper instead of bright white, with orange, blue and color-coded labels that are easier to read.
On iPad:
• Conveying & Operators: one roster for Pumps, Conveyors and shared Operators and Subcontractors.
• Analytics adds Conveyor Utilization by unit, operator and subcontractor.
• Schedule PDFs print each pour's conveyor and conveying.
• Daily Reports buttons, tags and status badges read clearly in Day and Night mode.
Pour confirmation emails and the weekly digest list conveying, and confirmation and cancellation notices now reach the conveyor subcontractor too.
1.10 Sep 14
Square Feet beside Cubic Yards: every pour now carries its area as well as its volume. Enter both in the pour editor; the board pill shows the square feet on its own line.
Pour pills are easier to read: the square-feet line and the yards cap now meet contrast standards in Day and Night mode.
On iPad:
• Lookahead: add square feet to a planned pour, see row totals, and carry the area over on approve. Long pour names no longer get squeezed by their numbers.
• Schedule, Board and Lookahead PDFs print the area under each pour and in job totals.
• Master Pour Excel adds a Square Feet column.
• Analytics: a Square Feet KPI, two new charts, and PDF charts that fill the page.
• Projects, Offices and Month views roll up square feet beside yards.
Pour confirmation, cancellation and weekly digest emails include square feet.
1.9 Sep 6
Schedule PDF redesign: weather on each day, risk flags on the pour they belong to, and week bands that stay findable in long prints.
Clearer errors: messages now say what went wrong instead of “Try again.”
On iPad:
• Pour Schedule: the date header stays pinned while you scroll the project list.
• Board Health: clear the notifications you’ve handled — the counter resets, new gaps still flag.
• Project Schedule builder: crew rows under every phase (Overall or Per Phase), milestones anywhere in a phase, per-day header dates, weekend shading on PDFs.
• Manpower Gantt polish: month guides, labels beside short bars, man-hours in the stat line.
• Control Panel: honest save errors and safer settings writes.

iPhone — You stay signed in. The app no longer signs you out after time away, and it offers Face ID if you have not turned it on yet. A problem in one section no longer blanks the whole app, and a screen left open across an update now reloads itself instead of failing.
iPad — All of the above, plus a Day view on Project Schedule: move and size phases by the day, with every column dated and a holiday flagged on the day itself rather than the whole week. Link To Job is now per building, so each building keeps its own link. The Lookahead board opens on today.
Both — If you belong to more than one workspace, you choose it at sign-in and can switch from My Account.
1.7 Aug 24
iPhone — Text and status colors on the pour schedule are now easier to read in Day mode.
iPad — Improved color contrast throughout the app: schedule pills, crew and time views, projections, certifications and daily reports all read more clearly in Day mode, with no change to the dark theme.
1.6 Aug 20
• Face ID / Touch ID now reliably keeps you signed in — you won't be asked to re-enter your password after the app has been closed for a while.
• On iPad: exports (PDF and Excel) now carry your workspace's accent color; Analytics shows the right labor numbers the first time you open it; and Users & Roles now explains what each role can do, section by section.
• Sign-in screen clarity and other refinements.
1.5 Aug 19
• Face ID / Touch ID now stays enabled after an inactivity lock or hours away — no more surprise password prompts.
• iPad — Lookahead: assign Place & Finish Collaborators to specific projects with the new Assign Collaborators button. Collaborators plan future pours only on the jobs assigned to them; approving a pour onto the schedule stays with Admins and Editors.
• iPad — Lookahead PDF and the Master Pour Schedule export now list only upcoming pours.
• iPad — Pour Schedule PDF: project rows are easier to tell apart at a glance.
• iPad — Adding cubic yards to a new pour pill now shows on touch.
• Field Manual refreshed to match, plus smaller fixes throughout.

Face ID and Touch ID unlock now work.
Sign in with a look or a touch instead of typing your password. Turn it on when the app offers, or any time from My Account. Your session is stored in the device Keychain and never leaves your iPhone or iPad.
- Face ID / Touch ID sign-in is now offered on both iPhone and iPad
- If unlock is unavailable, the app now tells you exactly why and how to fix it
1.3 Aug 15
Two iPhone fixes.
- The schedule stays put when you rotate your phone. It was switching to the tablet layout on its side; the phone view is now locked upright.
- Face ID unlock is now offered right after you sign in, and you can turn it on or off any time from My Account.
1.2 Aug 15
International jobs are now first class. Addresses, concrete volumes and the weather forecast each follow the project's own country, so a UK job reads in cubic metres and degrees Celsius while your US jobs stay in cubic yards and Fahrenheit.
Pour type is now picked from your own palette instead of typed, so a stray spelling can never leave a colourless pill on the board or in an export.
Also in this update:
- Crew numbers on schedule bars are always legible; some colours were drawing white on bright fills.
- Refreshed icons, dialogs and transitions throughout every board.
- The clock and battery no longer disappear in Day Mode.
- On iPhone, the pour date and start time no longer overlap, and tapping a field no longer zooms the screen.
- The tile palette label on tablets stays on one line instead of stacking.
