Plant Daddy helps you to care for your plants. It’s a beautiful, modern app that allows you to add your plants, record notes such as care information, and schedule water reminders. It’s that simple! You don’t even need to create an account.
Plant Daddy is focused and intuitive. It intentionally does not include features like plant identification, care suggestions, light detection, etc. Other apps and websites can accomplish those needs. This is your cute little place to store your own information, get reminded when it’s time to water, and admire your lovely collection.
How to Use
‣ Add a plant, give it a name, and preferably a gorgeous photo
‣ Enter any notes you’d like to reference such as care instructions, light requirements, soil needs, etc
‣ Maybe add more information such as the date planted, scientific name, location, etc
‣ Set how often you’d like to water your plant and a notification will be sent when it's watering time

I’ve been using the Plant Daddy app and it has been amazing 🤩. The interface is clean, beautiful, and very easy to use. It makes organizing and tracking my plants incredibly simple.I love how I can add details like scientific names, watering reminders, notes, and photos for each plant. It helps me stay consistent with care and really understand my collection better. My plant family is already at 18 plants 🌿 and this app has made managing them fun instead of overwhelming. Highly recommend it for anyone building or growing their plant collect

Fine until it wasn't

I recently ran out of iCloud storage space and had to delete some data. I turned off iCloud permissions for this app and deleted its data thinking it would still be stored locally. When I opened the app today all my plants had been deleted. I only had five, so it didn't seem like a huge deal and I started adding them again, planning to leave a 3-star review questioning what exactly is preventing me choosing to only have my data stored locally (as there is no setting in the app for iCloud sync). I then discovered that there is now a limit to the number of plants you can add for free, and I could only have 4 out of my 5. So it's down to 1 star and I will be deleting the app!To be completely clear to the developer, I am not frustrated because there are in-app purchases, I am frustrated that something that was previously a free feature has now been paywalled. I really do appreciate that it's a small one-time purchase and not a subscription, and I am more than happy to pay an indie dev for an app that's functional and useful, but frankly I use the stock Reminders app on a daily basis anyway and an entire extra app that I can't be sure will save my data is not worth any amount of money just to keep track of less than half-a-dozen plants at a time. I will pay for premium features in a new app if they are clearly advertised as such, and I will pay for new premium features in an app I already use. I will not suddenly start paying for features I have already been using for years, even as a one-time purchase. (This didn't fit anywhere else: it really doesn't help that the library of notification messages is so limited. The humor is the main draw of the app in my opinion, but there is so little variation that it gets old pretty quick.)

Hey there, I’m sorry about this experience you’ve had. I can help explain a bit.So plants are stored locally if iCloud is turned off for the app, but if they were stored in iCloud originally and then you delete that data, they will indeed be deleted, unfortunately as you’ve discovered. My plan for the app was for it to be free with the option to tip, but I ended up receiving very few tips and it wasn’t maintainable. I had to introduce an in-app purchase to store an unlimited number of plants, and this has allowed me to continue to work on additional app updates. Everyone who tipped got this feature for free. I aimed to be clear about this in the What’s New text and app description.I understand this was a frustrating experience and if Reminders suits your needs, no hard feelings from me! I hope this helps to provide some clarity, and if you’d like to stick around I believe you’ll have a better experience going forward. And if you have any recommendations for additional notification messages feel free to send them my way and I’ll add them! :)
AMAZING!!

Truly a lifesaver with reminders bc i’m forgetful lol. The app is simple, easy to use, and a great aesthetic. I like the little “Notes” Section too bc it helps me remember which plants need misting as well and when to rotate the location :)One small thing (maybe it’s just my phone bc it’s old): when i press the “mark as watered” the cute 💦 emoji appears but then a few seconds later it goes back to “Mark as watered”. I think it would be great if it stayed the 💦 for the whole week or however long it said it needed to be watered for! Again just a suggestion, bc the app is already amazing as is!!!!
The simplicity plant trackers needed

This app is the best app I’ve used for keeping track of my plants. It’s completely up to you how much info you want listed about the plant. My favorite part is taking a picture of the plant at the beginning because as time passes you get to see how much they grow and evolve! The simplicity of the app is perfection. I love that you can choose what the app icon looks like, and you don’t have any brightly colored menus or ads in your way while you are trying to mark your plants watered.
