The Plata Pay app is a multi-currency digital wallet that provides a full breadth of services, including linked Visa payroll card, cross-border money transfers, peer-to-peer transfers, FX conversions, bill payments, secondary sub-accounts and more.
Note: You may only use the Plata Pay app if you are an employee of a company that has contracted with ePlata for paycard services. Please review the important U.S. state licensing information below.
Linked Plata Pay Visa Payroll Card
Plata Pay users get a linked Visa payroll card which is connected directly to their Plata Pay app accounts enabling payroll funds to be used via all app services.
Cross-Border Money Transfers
The Plata Pay app, powered by ePlata, enables Plata Pay users to send funds instantly to family and friends in Mexico that have the ePlata app.
Send and Request Money (P2P)
Plata Pay users may send money to or request money from other users free of charge. All transfers are executed instantaneously.
Real-Time Currency Conversion
Plata Pay users may convert currency at any moment, whether prior to sending money to family and/or friends, paying a bill or simply creating a balance of multiple denominations. Users may hold funds in multiple currencies, including: U.S. Dollar, Mexican Peso, Euro, Canadian Dollar, British Pound and more.
Pay Bills
Plata Pay users may pay bills immediately to a wide variety of essential service providers, including: utilities (gas, electric, water) and cable television. Plata Pay users can even make bill payments on behalf of their family and/or friends living in another country.
Secondary Sub-Accounts
Plata Pay users can create secondary sub-accounts within their main Plata Pay user account that can be used to separate funds for special purposes.
IMPORTANT: ePlata is a licensed money transfer agent in the U.S. state of IL. Please do not attempt peer-to-peer transfers via the Plata Pay Cash account if you do not reside in a licensed state or a country that does not prohibit its use.
