Description

Plata displays Place Data for anywhere in the United States. From population statistics to local sports teams, Plata provides you with a plethora of information about all sorts of places.

Based on either your current location (or a location that you search for), Plata determines the latitude and longitude then uses those coordinates and location information to query a variety of government APIs and other sources of interesting data. Everything you see in Plata is available elsewhere, but Plata combines everything in clean view.

Ideas for using Plata:
- Did you hear a city or place in the news?
- Are you thinking of traveling or moving?
- Did someone mention their home town?
- Are you on a road trip and wondering, "What would it be like to live here?"
- Are you curious about how a place voted in the 2020 election or who represents it?

Plata review

Plata is a very informative and helpful application, especially when traveling. It is fun to look up a city you are driving through and learn things about the city such as its population and the county of the state you are driving through.
It is also fun to compare cities amongst one another such as their populations; their geographic size and location; and their voting history.
I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn about the city they might be traveling through or just to learn about any city in the USA that they any interest in learning about.

Informative with a clean design

Exactly the kind of information that is impossible to find on Google now, and super easy to navigate! Especially like the “random” feature to learn more about many places I’ve never been but might like to visit.

Very awesome

Really cool app, that is great for discovering and comparing data of cities. It’ll be a fun tool to pull up when visiting new locations to get a at-a-glance feel for a city’s make up. There’s a ton of data, but it’s all displayed in a very pleasant and digestible way. I’m a fan!
