Playground Buddy 4+

I love this app and know it’s free which I appreciate and understand you’re not getting paid. I wish you’d consider getting sponsors so that it could be more well-known and utilized in my area and updated a little more often. My favorites list doesn’t link to the actual park data. Under the park in favorites, it says no data available. Under the park on the map, everything I’ve added is there. This has been the case since your last update a year ago.

The concept is neat, but I would love to see a filter to show playgrounds that offer inclusive playground equipment for kids with disabilities. (If it’s there, I couldn’t find it). I do see when you add a park you can check off a few accessibility notes - but i would love to see it show playgrounds that actually have equipment that a child in a wheelchair or mobility issue or other disability can access and play with (wheelchair accessible merry go rounds, etc) - not just swings. Parents of kids with disabilities (and parents and grandparents with disabilities) know just how few parks with inclusive equipment exist, and this would be a very valuable tool if it included such a filter! Also, I noticed that the Spark Parks are left off this app. Spark Parks are community parks located at public schools that are open to anyone in the general public after regular school hours, and on weekends and holidays. I added one…
Lastly, I tried to submit this feedback through the app itself, but just got a blank screen.

Thank you for taking the initiative to create this user-friendly app. Love knowing where playgrounds are in my neighborhood and city without the need for extensive detective work.

As the parent of a toddler, and a second one on the way, I’ve become something of an evangelist for this app since I downloaded it a few weeks ago. I was excited enough to make a Facebook Live video about it, letting other parents know this great app exists. Now I don’t just take my son to a playground to burn off steam for his sake - it’s just as exciting for me to pin a new playground to the app map and take a photo so other parents can discover playgrounds for themselves. Doing my part in Miami, FL! We need more contributors! This is my version of Pokémon - gotta catch em all! Ha! We’ll get there in Miami!
