Incredible for athletes, I’m a multisport athlete

I’ve been using pliability for six months now regularly. Within the first month, deep seated kinks in my neck were released, and I could sleep on my stomach without neck pain. Second month, I could hold four minute stretches without being jumpy on the mat. Third month, my running times improved drastically and I noticed significantly fewer injuries. Fourth, fifth and sixth months, I was able to lift heavier weights in hiit classes. These are all the physical benefits, the mental benefits are equally as valuable. It has been a staple to my mindfulness practice and my ability to calm my mind and body out of anxious moments. It has also been a great companion when I need to find balance in my mind before I approach a work project or a personal project, or a difficult situation with other people. This app is not about looking good, it is about doing the exercises properly, listening to your body and taking the time to see improvements. The guide has a wonderful approach to this, with a calm voice and reminders every single time. They emphasize to be patient and not pushy, which is very important as an athlete. I’ve used many apps for stretching, rehab and recovery and Pliability has become increasingly important for my routine as a multisport athlete. Thank you Pliability! Love your attention to detail. The tone and pace for each session. And the persistence and consistency within the app itself. Thank you!

Gratitude to the ROMWOD team

I have been using ROMWOD for nearly 11 months now and all I can say is that it is a wonderful program, and I wish I had found this earlier! I love their regular programming the best (lasts about 25-20mins) but often do the short version (10-15mins) due to time (although I do miss the soft drum beats). Either way, this has helps tremendously with my mobility and keeping soreness at bay. (Prior to using ROMWOD, I would still stretch but I found myself repeating a select few poses all the time) The icing on the cake is that this puts me in such a meditative and calm state. I have hit PRs on majority of my lifts this year and ROMWOD has played a big part. I have also hit new levels of mental alertness which, of course, is more difficult to quanity.

All in all - Thank You ROMWOD team for doing what you do.

Ok, but frustratingly inconsistent and lacks variety

The workouts in this app are essentially yin yoga, which I really enjoy. I feel less stiff after these routines. However, I’m constantly distracted by the inconsistencies in the workouts. Sometimes you get a full explain of the pose before going into it, sometimes you get a half explanation, and sometimes none at all. Sometimes they explain a pose fully and then the next pose they don’t explain at all. Sometimes they tell you have 30 seconds left in a pose, sometimes they stop their verbal countdown at one minute.

Most annoyingly, though, are the errors. I just completed a workout where they didn’t announce how long a pose would be held for on one size and then when we went to the other side they said it would be held for one minute. The pose that they didn’t announce the time for was only held for 30 seconds (I went back to time it because I knew it was too short!), so you aren’t even getting an equal stretch! I’ve also heard them use different names for the same pose within the same minute.

This is expensive enough of an app that I shouldn’t be having inconsistent sessions. Perhaps if the developers focus more on quality and less on quantity (they use like the same 7 poses in every routine anyway, why churn out so many?) I’d be happier.
