Podo: Poultry footpad scoring
Objective scoring on-device
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Pododermatitis scoring on iOS: one photo, on-device analysis, 0-4 welfare score and lesion %. History, stats, map. Offline. Subscribe for auto capture and export.
Foot welfare checks should not depend on who is holding the phone. Podo scores pododermatitis (footpad lesions) in broilers from a single photo on your iPhone or iPad — analysis runs on-device, so it works in poor signal and your flock images stay local unless you share them.
What you get
• Segmentation & score — Finds the foot and lesions, shows lesion area as a percentage of the foot, and maps results to a standard 0–4 welfare-style severity scale.
• Capture — Photograph feet on a white or light background for the most consistent results; optional live overlay helps you frame the shot.
• Samples — Save analyses, add context, sort by date, location, or severity, and import from Photos or Files.
• Statistics & map — See trends and where samples were taken when location is available.
• Free vs subscription — Core scoring is the same for everyone. Free includes on-device analysis with a limited saved history. Subscription unlocks continuous (auto) capture, 3D depth view on supported devices, unlimited history, and export (e.g. ZIP via the share sheet).
Important
Podo is for informational and educational use. Scores and measurements are estimates from automated image analysis — not a substitute for veterinary or other professional advice. Do not base welfare, commercial, or regulatory decisions solely on the app. See in-app Terms and Privacy for details.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- Paired capture (continuous): Feet from the same photo now share one sample reference (e.g. Test-004 for both); each foot still has its own sample ID.
- Continuous numbering: Sample references with a prefix are numbered by distinct references, not raw row count, so a pair no longer skips the next index.
- Paired capture (single-shot / analysis save): Fixed a bug where the highest-confidence foot could be the right foot while crops are ordered left-to-right, which saved the left foot twice (same sample_id / foot_index) and dropped the other foot; primary foot is now matched to the correct slot in the multi-foot list and extras are saved without duplicating that slot.
- Single-shot numbering: Same unique-reference counting as continuous when assigning the next sample reference from a prefix.
- Analysis results: Save stays disabled until processing finishes—main lesion overlay is ready, paired-foot detection has run on new captures, and every detected foot’s overlay is built when multiple feet are present.
